Juicing: pulp? juice?

Quote  |  Reply
Ok. So if you put a carrot into a juicer (30 cals) how much goes to the juice, and how much goes with the carrots pulp?

I'm guessing that 99% of the cals go in the juice and the pulp is next to nothing at 1% cals? How does a juicer work calorie-wise? I always add the pulp from fruit into my oatmeal.. and never know whether to count it, or not...  Anyone know?

noone knows? at alllll

bump.
you could maybe just look up the cals for carrot juice, and compare with the same weight of carrot. there are several choices for "carrot juice."
I don't so much care about the cals in the juice. I just want to know if the pulp is then cal-free, because I eat the pulp alot.
calories in whole carrot - calories in juice = calories in pulp
