20 pounds by July 31st Challenge- Week 2

Here's the new thread ladies and gentlemen! If you've been keeping up with the forum you know that we're going to post a new thread each week and update each other with our progress.

Here is the old one if anyone ever wants to look back:

Original- 20 pounds by July 31st Challenge

Remember to be happy with the effort you put in this week, even if you didn't get the results you've been hoping for. It's only the end of week one, you have over 8 more to refine your technique and drop those pounds like hot cakes.

Let's all restate our stats and summarize how we think we did.

My results:

1st week weigh in

SW:153

CW:151

GW:133

Total lost: 2 Pounds

I did awesome the whole week, and then yesterday I totally lost all of my drive and gave into my cravings (which I think were because my blood sugars dropped too low.. I need to eat right in the morning!) I want to lose this weight so badly and I'm going to see people I haven't seen in awhile in only 9 days.. so I'm really disappointed in myself. But if the horse bucks you off, you get back on... so today I hit the gym this morning and my eating is back on track. I think it's a reminder that I shouldn't be obsessed by what I weigh, people already love me as I am, and I need to love all these pounds of myself. I'm trying hard and I know I'll lose this weight, but I don't need to be in such a panic to get rid of it. If I want my boyfriend to love me as I am, why am I trying so hard to change before he sees me? Hey, this is good test for the guy, right? :)

I'm trying my hardest, and that should be good enough. I just always feel like I could try harder.

Well, that was a downer.

Now your turn, post away!

Really pleased with my weight loss this week as I stayed the same at last weeks weigh in.  Just goes to show that the scales and your body can just play 'tricks' with you sometimes and we shouldn't get too disheartened by what it says on the scales as long a the general trend is down.

Well done to all of you for losing weight/inches! If you stayed the same or put on a little this week don't worry it could be 5lbs off next week!

I don't usually weigh myself until after my workout since that's when i'm at my lowest, but considering that my soccer game isn't until 930pm tonight I'll just put down my morning weight and possibly re-post later on

I think I did really well, worked out everyday but one and have really been watching what I eat.  I think I may have lost more in the week, because I started the diet/exercising last Monday but didn't get a scale until Friday.

1st week weigh in

SW: 125.4

CW: 121.8

GW: 110

Total lost: 3.6 pounds!

i did really good this week but i havent lost any weight the past two days. they were really stressful for me (finals) and i havent really been sleeping that well (5-2 hours) compared to the usual 9+ hours i usually sleep plus today i skipped my daily exercise because i'm just way too exhausted :(

1st week weigh in:

SW: 170

CW: 170

GW: 150

But I will not complain! I did pretty well this week with diet and exercise. Did a little more strength training than I usually do, so maybe it is water weight/muscle mass. I'm stickin to that, staying positive, and next week's weigh in will be more than 2 lbs! I can feel it!

Keep up the good work, everyone!!!!!!!

Great Job Everyone!

Week 1

SW 223

CW 220

GW 199

Lost 3 pounds!

I really need to watch my calories alot more. I had  a rare night out with the girls and that really threw the diet out the window for the night. Anyone have any great water work out ideas?  I managed to get into the pool almost everyday this week.  Gonna make a much bigger effort this week!

Well I didn't lose...but I didn't gain.  And I've been really bloated (being a girl SUCKS!)

I forgot to weigh myself this morning so I did it at lunch after I had eaten breakfast, lunch, and drank a ton of water. So I don't think it's very accurate. This week I went to the gym every weekday but one, and this morning I ran outside! I'm trying to start running outdoors a lot more because I think it's a much better workout and heck, it's just so nice to be outside! I have stayed with in my calorie allowance almost every day, I think I only went over once and it was by 100. So, not too bad. Oh also, I measured myself so I can keep track of inches because I have a feeling that is where the results will be before anything else. Anyway, i'm going to sign up for the Y after work so I will be starting kick boxing there and some other classes, so psyched!

Good for us!

1st week weigh in

CW:168

GW:140

Total lost: 3 Pounds

I can't believe I lost 3lbs this week! How awesome is that? Now I only have 3 more pounds to go before I've lost all my baby weight! Yay! I've been doing really well with my eating lately and excersing everyday! I just hope I can keep this up.

1st week weigh in

SW:127.6

CW:125.8

GW:100

Total lost: 1.2 Pounds

So I've been battling a combination of laziness the first few days (I didn't work out very much) and eating too many calories...especially this weekend. Yesterday I went drinking with friends, had part of a friend's b-day cake, and part of some pie...so basically, I went ~800 cals over my calorie goal. Not great, but I'm hoping to step it up this week.

Oh, and I just went shopping for some black khakis and I felt so fat. My thighs are really big, and so are my hips, so trying to get something that fit right was nigh impossible. I still haven't found a suitable pair.

Good job everybody!  Even if you didn't lose anything, at least you're still here and determined to try again this week!  For those of you ladies with dear old TOM, don't be too hard on yourselves.

1st week weigh in

SW:134.5

CW:133

GW:115

Total lost: 1 1/2 Pounds

I think I did pretty good this week food wise.  No, actually I KNOW I did good food wise.  Now I just need to kick it up a notch with my exercise routine!

Great to see everyone having such great results!  Keep up the good work :)

1st week weigh in:

SW: 227

LW: 223

CW: 221

So that brings me to 2 lbs for the week and 6 lbs total :)

1st week weight in:

SW:148

LW: 134.8

CW: 133.8

1 pound lost... not happy about that but when you don't have much to lose it comes off slower!  However, I am down another 1/2 inch off my waist and hips in just a week and a half!

Good job everyone!
