20 pounds by July 31st Challenge- Week 2


Here's the new thread ladies and gentlemen! If you've been keeping up with the forum you know that we're going to post a new thread each week and update each other with our progress.

Here is the old one if anyone ever wants to look back:

Original- 20 pounds by July 31st Challenge

Remember to be happy with the effort you put in this week, even if you didn't get the results you've been hoping for. It's only the end of week one, you have over 8 more to refine your technique and drop those pounds like hot cakes.

Let's all restate our stats and summarize how we think we did.

My results:

1st week weigh in

SW:153

CW:151

GW:133

Total lost: 2 Pounds

I did awesome the whole week, and then yesterday I totally lost all of my drive and gave into my cravings (which I think were because my blood sugars dropped too low.. I need to eat right in the morning!) I want to lose this weight so badly and I'm going to see people I haven't seen in awhile in only 9 days.. so I'm really disappointed in myself. But if the horse bucks you off, you get back on... so today I hit the gym this morning and my eating is back on track. I think it's a reminder that I shouldn't be obsessed by what I weigh, people already love me as I am, and I need to love all these pounds of myself. I'm trying hard and I know I'll lose this weight, but I don't need to be in such a panic to get rid of it. If I want my boyfriend to love me as I am, why am I trying so hard to change before he sees me? Hey, this is good test for the guy, right? :)

I'm trying my hardest, and that should be good enough. I just always feel like I could try harder.

Well, that was a downer.

Thanks techgrl - I really appreciate it. I'm actually not doing much in the way of exercise since it's sort of something I hate to do, but I'm OK with walking so I think I'll pick up the habit of 30-minute walks this week.

hi all, well its only 24 hours till i jump on the scales here in UK. am hopeful i will follow last weeks 7 pound with a couple of pound more, but you never know, as far as i can tell ive done very little different to wek one, so awaiting weigh in with interest. trying to resist the temptation to pop int chemista and weigh today, mainly because ive had a fair bit to eat and drink already today! well, have a good day all of you

well guys, a slight problem here as the scales i use at the Pharmacy are out of action! so i weighed on the local family centre set as i know they are very nearly the same readings. i have posted a loss of 2 more pound, but will weigh again once the scales are repaired as i prefer to use the same scales.

anyway as it stands that 9 pounds so am very happy

the weeks are flying by. ekk!

i did beautifully all week and weekend.. until sunday i had a mini-binge but only gained .5 lbs. lost 1 more lb than last weeks weigh in and i plan to keep up the good work. the national guard has me working 12 night shifts on top of my civilian job this week, so hopefully i will be too busy to consider breaking my diet.

:( i gained everything back....reasons: i was travelling for 45+hrs between Wed and Monday...with less than 48 hrs at my destination--my house for my little sister's graduation.  Airport food is yuck...and i have to eat whatever my mom gives me (which wasn't the healthiest).  Additionally I got sick on Saturday, so exercise during the past week was nil. ugh. depressed.  I'm feeling a lot better so i think i'll start exercising again today...hopefully by next week i can at least make it back to 146.

Rough week. Surprised I even got that much. Family came up from the South and always wanted to eat out. Anyway's, good job guys.

I'm only ten pounds away from my goal! I have no idea how I managed to actually lose two pounds this week, I was terrible. I used to be so good about eating only my goal number of calories per day, but now I've started "bargaining." For example, I'll eat X number of extra calories, and just say that I'll eat X number fewer the next day. Very unhealthy, this habit. The only good thing about this week was that I went running for the first time in a year. Anyway, I'm still happy with my numbers... here's hoping this week goes even better!

WEEK 2 Weigh-In

Total LBS lost: 3

This was a good week. I worked out 5 days rainging from 1hr to 1.5 hours. That .8 just doesn't want to move...lol. I will keep up the workouts and will hope to see another loss next week - Week 3 Weigh-In.
