20 Pounds by July 31st Challenge- Week 6

Quote  |  Reply

Here's the new post. Yes, we are now weighing in for week 5 but this forum is for our 6th week... for the confusion :) So whatever you'd like to call it.

SW:153

CW:150

GW:133

Total lost:  3 Pounds

This was the last weight I had... a stomach bug doesn't really make me want to run to the scale. Although it's a great way to cut food intake. Ha.
I really do hope that this has been encouraging to some of you. Not the last paragraph, but just having a forum to be accountable to. Anyone have any idea of an addition to step it up a notch for the next few weeks we have left? Most of us WONT make the 20 pound challenge (I wish I could send a bundle of prizes for those that will, you're a.ma.zing.), but I hope that you stick it out with me. My goal should now realistically be more like 10 or 12, but I'm still going for it. Are you with me?!

still with you, cori_jessy. yes, this thread is definitely inspiring to me. Every weekend I think 'How's my Tueday weigh in gonna look if I'm falling off the wagon every weekend?' Though, no, I will not make it to 20 lbs either. Maybe 10. I'm still with ya.

SW:170

CW:166

GW:150? Maybe should change it to 160. I think I can make that and I would be thrilled to lose ten lbs. I haven't been able to run the past couple of weeks because I injured my knees, but I think I'm healed up enough by now to get back out there, so yay! I'm ready to pump it up a notch for next weigh in!

Hope you feel better, cori_jessy. I had a bug like that a few weeks ago and it was NOT fun...

Good Luck everyone!!!

~ .2lbs ~ Not alot but expected it. Hiked 2 of the Adirondack High Peaks this past weekend which shouldve put me alot lower but wuth hiking comes camping and all the goodness that comes with it! Next Week... Next Week.

~~ I'm still shooting for it!!!! This thread def gives me an accountability. It's nice to know though you have support, there are real people who have real struggles just like you do. Don't give up guys. Though you may not meet the 20 shoot for 15 or 10 whatever you feel you can do. But don't set it so low that you don't push yourself. Try to think of the fact that others are also passing up cheesecake and cookies which i did yesterday ... OIOIOI! Have a good day.~~

Sorry to hear you aren't feeling too good - hope it gets better soon!

It is a shame that we have lost so many people over the last few weeks but I agree with naturallyd that the thead is inspiring and makes me think twice about what I eat!

My results:

5th week weigh in

SW:271 (Jan 08)

SW:228 (for the challenge!)

LW:220

CW:219

Total lost: 9 Pounds

No repairs to gym scales yet so these are my best estimates again. Definately still going down but I have had a bad week (or good depending on your point of view!) for eating out so slowly does it.  I don't think I have much chance of reaching 20lb either but going to try and up the exercise this week to see what happens.

Keep up the hard work - we will win the battle of the bulge!

Yes I think it is inspiring to be held accountable every week!   Lets keep this going!

It's TOM for me so when I weighed myself on monday I was 174 but I got so bloated so my weight today was 176.. Maybe next week I will be back to 174.. I've lost 18 lbs since starting CC May 1st.. not bad!

Okay, I don't know why this happens, but every time I weigh on Tuesday and there is no change, I weigh again on Wednesday and there is one. I was 165 this morning, so that means I've lost 5 pounds (instead of four) since the beginning of the challenge. YAY! Now the scale is back in the closet until Tuesday (I have to hide it so I won't weigh every day).

week 6

w5: 124.4

w6: 125.4

gained a pound but its ooookay because its that time of the curse so i know next week will be better.

&yes yes this thread helps me keep on track. *NATURALLYD at first i saw no change but i then slow so a pound or two come off, just be consistant even if ur not seeing any change because trust me you'll get there and it will feel sooo good. keep up the work=)

Sorry for being MIA lately...  I haven't really been weighing much.  Two weeks ago I was at 220, TOM ended and I dropped to 218.  :)  Last weekend I wasn't very good with my sodium and ended up back where I started...but I have gotten back down to 219 for the last couple of days.  The weekend should be challenging, but I'll be active as well...so hopefully that will balance some of it out.  :)

So my total weight lost since we've started is 4lbs.  Going to get back to eating well again!

8lbs to GO!

Alright, alright, time to fess up. who screwed up over the weekend? Well, I most certainly did. And the scale is up 2 pounds. But! I still kept really good track of all of my calories (including the 3300 intake on the 4th - yikes!) and I still had a 4000 calorie deficit for the week. So I'm gonna do what I normally do every week. WEigh again tomorrow and see if there is change. I am one of those that gains five pounds of water weight in one day and takes 5 or 6 days to lose it, so tomorrow might not even be that big of a change. But next week I am excited for because there's really no reason for me not to rock it all the way through the weekend. Good luck everyone!!

Haha... yeah you're not the only one who screwed up :)

So glad there's a few of us seeing it through to the end! You guys all sound so optimistic, I'm impressed.

So continuing on....

Here's the new one:
