Hehe, I feel so silly for still doing this 20# challenge.
It was TTOM for me and so I'm seeing my weight decrease again every day. As for my clothes and how they're fitting... they're about the same. I definitely am gaining more muscle and strength, I can see some definition in my arms and legs are muscular again. A true cyclist: I have strong legs but not much anywhere else!
Thanks for the encouragement for not coming close to meeting my goals. I think it's personally helped me to keep focused though and that's the most important thing of all, I haven't given up! So thank you for that.
This week I've committed to eating small 200-300 calorie meals every 3 hours, keeping to an elimination diet guidelines to cut out potentially intolerant foods.
You guys have done great for seeing this though! It feels good to do something to the end, finish what we started. Just like we'll all get to our goal weight because we're not going to give up.... it just might take awhile! And that's fine because we get to live our lives fully and do this on the side. It's just little stuff.
I can't believe it's so close to the end. I'm not even going to post what the scale said this morning. There was a big music festival this weekend that I had been looking forward to for a long time. I didn't exercise at all (for 4 days, actually) and I didn't count a single calorie. I am back on the wagon today. I went running for 45 minutes this morning and for the next 2 weeks, I will be eating a very clean diet. tons of fruits and veggies, nuts and beans and maybe some fish for protein. water and tea only. no diet sodas or alcohol. Exercise every day, up the water intake. I'm sure the water weight will be gone before the end of the week, but I do want to finish the challenge with a bang. The lowest the scale got was 164.5. so, so far, I have dropped 5.5 pounds. In nine weeks? Wow....well, it's summertime....and I can't say I haven't had fun...
Good luck to all for these last nine days. It has been fun.

Stayed the same this week but can't really expect too much after the last couple of weeks. Will have to try extra hard to hit that target by 31st July but going away for the weekend so might be just too much to do! Good luck everyone for the final weigh in.
Sorry my weigh-in is a day late, we were hectically busy for the past two days!

Ha, I knew Aunt Flo would take her extra baggage with her when she left!
I agree, well done everybody for sticking it out! So I've lost slower than I'd hoped, but I *have* lost! I was just starting to get those little fat rolls on my back and now they're gone, and my clothes are fitting better.
Thanks cori-jessy for starting the challenge, and also for faithfully coming back each week and keeping us all on track and updated with the new threads.
Looking forward to our last weigh-in next week Thursday!!!

Total lost for challenge 5.5
I am soooo tired of dieting! I just want to get to my goal and maintain! All in all since 2003 I have lost 92.5 lbs. I'm getting frustrated because all I hear is "you dont have to lose any more weight...you look great!" I appreciate the compliments but I've set a goal and HAVE to reach it.
Well, it's the last day. I have gotten down to 164, which means that I have lost 6 pounds since the beginning of the challenge. Do I wish I would've lost more? Of course. Am I happy with the results anyway? Totally.

Thanks to everyone for doing this hopefully it helped all of you as much as it did me. Peace
So here we finally are! Congrats to everyone who hung in there. Marlasboy, you went even further than the 20 lbs, congrats!!!
Here are my final numbers...
SW: 134.5
LW: 127.5
CW: 126
GW: 115
Total Lost: 8.5 pounds
My scale actually read 126 the day after last week's weigh in, so I don't really feel like I've lost this week. It dipped down to 125.5 and back up to 127 this whole week. I think I may have hit a plateau, which has happened to me before at this weight.
Okay, so only 8.5 pounds, but what an accomplishment! I have gone from being in the "slightly overweight" category down into the mid high-end of the "healthy weight" category. Yay! Thanks again cori-jessy!
wow, marlasboy! that is so great! congratulations!!

This challenge has definately kept me going over the last 9 weeks. Thanks cori_jessy for keeping it going every week. Anyone for the next challenge - 15lbs by September 30th?
How about 10lbs by sept 5th? Thats my goal. If anyones in they are welcome to do it.
Ah! So sorry guys, I had two weddings in a row and a house to pack, job to finish, boyfriend to be with, friends to say goodbye to, and no internet connection.

Total lost: 5 Pounds
I lost 5 pounds, and that's accomplishing something! Thanks to all of you who stuck through these 9 weeks. It has to feel good to do something from the beginning to the end, after all... we can see how many people did stick with us and it wasn't that many. I think we will all be just fine, because we're committed to being who and what we want and know we can be physically. Not to let food rule our lives, and to live in BALANCE. I'm getting there, and I'm excited for you guys too. Each pound lost is a pound closer!
Good luck to you all :)
Good job *everyone*!!!
I would love to do either the 15 lbs by Sept 30th or the 10 lbs by Sept 5th. Well, I know I won't actually *make* either of those goals since I'm losing so slowly, but you're all such a wonderful inspiration, so I'd love to join. We could even just cover both goals in our challenge and everyone can choose which one they want to do.
Just to let you know I have joined in this new challenge for August:
August Weight Loss Challenge **signups always welcome**
There is a lot of people doing the challenge and it is a regular monthly challenge.
I know that colorado_sunshine has already signed up too!
Hope you will join us!
Hey!
So my final weigh in is 141.6 which means i lost 8.4 lbs for the challenge...
not too shabby :) i still have another 16 or so lbs until i'm where i want to be eventually....and another 5.6 until i'm at my max summer summer goal (i wanted to be at 129-136 by the end of the summer)...in another 3 weeks, my triathlon is in 2 1/2 weeks so i'm going to be doing 2-a day workouts and then tapering off, so maybe it'll help to jump start and lose those last 5 lbs.
if not, i'll just readjust and keep my eyes on the prize.
congrats to everyone!!
Will I lose weight if I eat the same food over and over?
You can lose weight despite eating the same food day-after-day as long as you eat fewer calories than you burn. In fact, eating the... Read more
