July's 100 Mile Walk

Okay, time for another 100 mile walk!  Other distances are welcome (last month ranged from 50 - 175).

Just so you know...

100 miles = 3.2 miles per day

50 miles = 1.6 miles per day

I keep track of my walking through http://www.mapmyrun.com/ , but you can also use a pedometer as well.

Post your mileage whenever you like, and we'll support and motivate each other to keep it up! Good luck everyone!

I haven't added an arm challenge for the month.  We can continue with the planks or start something new.  Any suggestions?

July 8:  did another mile after posting my totals (53.13 - 1 = 52.13 miles to go)

July 9:  4.33 miles (52.13 - 4.33 = 47.8 miles to go)

July 10:  4.1 miles (47.8 - 4.1 = 43.7 miles to go)

July 11: 3 miles (43.7 - 3 = 40.7 miles to go)

July 12:  5.90 miles (40.7 - 5.90 = 34.8 miles to go)

I have gotten 2 miles so far this morning, but I am hoping to get a couple more this afternoon, so I'll wait to post my total for today. 

I took the weekend off. Frown

7/9 - 7 miles

Yikes!!  I have not walked nearly enough this month.  However, I did go horseback riding yesterday, and that made my legs quite sore!

Last post was 19.6 miles.  Since then I've added another 8.5 miles for a measly total of 28.1 miles so far.   To hit my goal, I need to average 4 miles per day.  Not bad at all, but much more than I've been doing.  If only it wasn't so HOT here in GA...

Twelve push-up/planks.  Thunder storms all day so no walking.

Sorry I haven't posted in over a week, but work and school was eating me alive. I kept track, though, and walked every day even if only a mile. Hopefully this week will be better for me.

July 13: 5.47 miles (34.80 miles - 5.47 = 29.33 miles to go)

July 14:  10.01 miles (29.33 miles - 10.01 = 19.32 miles to go)

My 10.01 miles yesterday is the most I've ever done in one day!  I had 6.3 miles done yesterday and was planning on calling it a day, but my husband suggested an after supper walk.  We went just over 3 miles.  My previous biggest mileage day was 9.9 miles, so I kept walking my yard laps when we got home until I had 3.71 for a total of 10.01 miles for the day!  I was excited, I'm sure you other walkers will understand!  :)

7/15: 5 miles

Total: 35/75

Five and a half miles so far today.

Edited to add twelve more push-up/planks.

38.5 miles and 120 push-ups total

Total: 49.7

7/15 - 4 miles / 62 miles total  || goal: 200 miles / 138 miles to go

Well, 16 days left and 138 miles to go.  That's 8.5 miles a day.  Do-able, but it ain't lookin' good.  I suppose I have some s'plainin' to do, but I'll wait to see what happens.  The next couple of days are a wash, so there'll be very little walking going on.  That will leave me with 10 miles a day.  I can do that, but it may be rather tough.

Who's bright idea was it to set a 200 mile goal anyway Undecided? sheesh.
