100 miles = 3.2 miles per day
50 miles = 1.6 miles per day

I have just finished 30,000 steps today, and I've only got 26,700 steps left to reach my First 1,000,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]()

I used a turtle as a symbol of my slow-loss-rate Self, vs. the proverbial rabbit-- which I think of as my Fast-Gain problem, that I need to Defeat... The Turtle WON-- when it LOOKED impossible, and THIS Turtle is Winning, too!)
I'll get more steps tonight, as much as I can around Choir practice, too... and look for new shoes Saturday, after I finish my Goal for June-July tomorrow!!!!! ![]()

Hello 2beittybitty.
I use the nike+ kit with an apple ipod nano to track my workout. It counts your steps and translates it into pace, calories and miles or kilometers if you on metric.
If you don't know what nike+ is it's a system where you put a reciever into ipod and a transmitter or pedonmter like device in your shoe or somewhere on your foot where it can detect a step.
Workout data is transmitted to the nike+ website where it stores your run info and tallies up everything for you. You can set goals, resolutions to beat last year's goals and join challenges.
NB:
That little thing I put up is actually from the old version of their site. The new version doesn't have the resolution app anymore but the old site still wors for people using old browsers like internet explorer 6.

Sadly, I only got to 73.66 miles this month. Silly vacation. I got to play a lot on the Wii Fit, but didn't walk during that week and a half. Oh well. There's always next month!

I've felt the pain, Oarsman! Last year I wanted to walk 500 miles-- almost totally treadmilling-- in 2.5 months, to finish on a Special-to-me-Day in August... I worked diligently, and went out of state to Church meetings where I shared that Desire with others, making a strong Commitment... All went well till the final week-- canning/illness/something slowed me down badly...! I was committed-- with a LOT of miles to go... ![]()
I don't remember how far behind I was, but it was insane, lol! I DO remember my husband laughing, that I couldn't do it, when I said I Hoped to get 50 miles in a day... I remember, 'cause he was right, lol! ![]()
I did get 40 miles in 24 hours, though... then finished, whatever was left, just-in-time! ![]()
That was TOUGH! ![]()
I've pushed to get my Million steps by today-- but I'm glad I didn't have anything happen to cause me misery to Achieve it! You're right-- that ain't Fun!!! ![]()

If it were full-stride steps, it would be an even 500 miles from June 5-July 31... Over 230 miles for July-alone, if counting only Aerobic steps, as I'm sure they are stride-correct... and I lose many of those with my picky pedometer! ![]()
I only get around 3000 normal steps a day... so almost all of my counts are actually Aerobic/exercise sessions... Warps my mind to try to figure 'em clearly, lol! ![]()
P.S.-- The Best 'Measure' of effort to me was really Good these last 2 months of walking! June was over 8 pounds, July was over 11! ![]()
