To much JUNK food!!

So, my mom went to the store today and brought back tons of junk food. It's literally calling my name! What should I do?Surprised

Hey i have that problem allll the time, because my sister is younger then me and doesnt need to worry. What i always do it make sure my mom buys at least like grapes, apples, bananas, or carrots... so when im tempted to go for the junk food, i know i have something else i can reach for.. and btw it isnt good to completely deprive ur self from junk food, cause you are more likely to just like binge later with the stuff u deprived ur self of.. so treat yourself every once and a while.. for instance i allow myself to eat a hersheys kiss everyday... so i can get some chocolate in.. i hope that helped!

I actchualy think we have some apples so I'll try and eat those next time!

take it out of the packaging and bag it up into 100cal portions? i do this with chilli heatwave doritos. i love them and don;t want to give them up but if i buy a whole bag i know i'll stuff them. so i weigh out 25g portions (125cals) and put them into individual bags. i have one in my packed lunch today. um um.

Don't view it as forbidden, whatever you do. You just need to exercise portion control, like measuring it out as suggested by bebe_66.

I would also suggest keeping the fuit and veggies handy... another thing that I find helps is drink lots of water.  Most of the time when I think I am hungry its becuase I am thursty so the water helps.  Also try getting a sugar free gum.  This might help with wanting to snack by keeping your mouth busy.

They've really helped!

If you've been eating 'clean', or healthy, without many processed foods, it's pretty easy to turn down junk food.  After avoiding average 'junk' food for a while, I don't even want it anymore. :/  Everytime I look at something like a doughnut or candy bars, I just remind myself that I've tried those things lately, and I don't like them. 

So why eat something I don't really like, when I could have some amazing grapes or a square of dark vegan chocolate?

Also, do the shopping if you don't want junk food in the house. ;3  Crap isn't good for anyone to eat, especially not younger siblings.

it's okay once in a while... remember: a diet is a temporary mouth control combined with exercising for health reasons... portion control is the key

simple. dont eat it. there are no mind tricks not to eat it. will power and the drive to succeed are all the tools you need.
