I think that at the very least while you're RECOVERING, you should stay far away from the tape measure.

This is definitely a joke. If not, seek professionals. Check yourself into a hospital, preferrably a mental one.
...................i guess you meant to help--
but trust me,...that is NOT helping her at ALL.. &nbs p; & nbsp; >:|
yeah my stomach goes crazy, sometimes after eating or drinking, and sometimes seemingly randomly. however, this doesnt always happen, and im pretty sure its b/c of recovering/your body's not used to all the food or whatever.
as long as you're eating right, things will get better. i promise. in the meantime, try to eat things that agree with you most, possibly cutting out dairy and really high fiber stuff
when i was recovering, i basically looked pregnant. after awhile my stomach got used to food and now it looks normal again. also, i stopped bloating alot after i switched from vegetarian to vegan, so i guess i was mildly lactose intolerant. that could be causing bloating for you too.
I named my food baby. [: It helps me if I can laugh at something that I know I can't immediately change. I'm going to be asking my GP about if it's possible for me to be tested for food intolerances or similar as I'd like to know what's causing it (I was bloated before my ED set it - the pain actually became one of the reasons I began cutting out food), but for now I carry "Eduardo" with pride :D
Of what I have heard - yes, your stomach will even out. For now, if you don't already, keep a food diary. Write down if you notice a certain meal/food making your belly bloat worse. Dairy seems to be a nasty culprit - I've had yet to cut it out of my diet experimentally but I think I may, though possibly only after I talk to my GP at the end of the week. For now, don't let it trouble you (unless, of course, it begins to cause you pain.) Hope this helps. :D
from everything that i have heard, read, and experienced, ith as nothing to do w/ a specific food intolerance, just that after not eating for a long time food will go to the stomach for females bc that is an important organ-pregnancy and all. also, digestion may now be slow after not enough eating. i think its just what happens, not due to a specific food is my point.
When I was in recovery my stomach was constantly bloated.... so i talked to my nutritionist about it and she suggested that i try to eat at least large one salad a day to get my body used to handling "bulk." It actually worked really well for me after about a week my stomach flattened back out, even though I was still steadily increasing my caloric intake... hope that helps:)
I think you're just fine - and yes, I recovered from anorexia before too. I became obsessed with my body when I first started dancing at a young age and in 9th grade I got wayyy too thin [115 lbs]. I wasn't eating much [an apple a day? lol] and I worked out for about 4 hours a day. Sometimes I wish I was that tiny again, but since then, sex happens, puberty, etc and I got a more womanly shape. Not too big a difference, but I've come to accept that 135 pounds, 5'8, is okay, that it's okay to not look like a waif [I feel more attractive even] and I feel fine about myself as long as I drink plenty of water, eat healthily, and workout on a regular basis. I'll admit that there are days I just put a big hoodie on, or still cry in front of the mirror, or feel guilty about eating a few cookies, but I don't starve myself. ...and yes, sometimes I wish too that my stomach was perfectly flat, but I'm a woman - and we have that little pouch there, :). A healthy weight for you, by the way, is 110 pounds, so you're definitely okay. When I'm unhappy with something - maybe a bloated stomach? - I just focus my attention on it when I work out. [About 1 hour and a half a day.] Running and lower ab exercises will tone it down. ![]()
