Kashi Go Lean Crunch

Quote  |  Reply

This seems to be a really popular cereal - most people regard it as a great start to your day.

But I'm wondering... at 15g of sugar per cup, that's pretty high in sugar for cereal isn't it, even if it isn't the glucose/fructose/HFCS stuff.
For all you Go Lean Crunch lovers, do you care?

I've tried the Honey Almond Flax Cereal and liked it... so now I think I'm going to try the Go Lean Crunch, a bit higher in cals + sugar, lower in fiber..... but I'm going to see what the big deal is about this cereal! :D

Try the "Kashi Go Lean" instead of the "Kashi Go Lean Crunch."  Only 6g of sugars and 50 fewer calories per cup.   Same company.

Also - 13g of protein plus the protein in 1/2 cup of milk keeps me satiated until my late lunch.

I eat almost all of the current Kashi dry cereals they make...although the crunch is a little high in sugar it is relatively lower if you mix some others that have little to none...like the go lean...like 80% go lean and 20% crunch...that way you still get the sweetness but not full force.

When you compare the calories and fat to regular granola, it's a huge decrease.  It's my favorite cereal, so I don't care that it's a bit more sugar.  I usually have 1/2 to 3/4 of a cup instead of a whole cup and mix it with my favorite yogurt for a yummy breakast treat.

Some cereals may have a high sugar number but it is from natural items like raisins. I guess I am the only one who does not like Kashi cereals. There so tuff. If you are concerned why don't you mix it with a lower sugar cereal. Then you get the best of the both world.

The way I see it, it tastes amazing and it's waaaaay better for you than lucky charms LOL

I alternate cereal and other breakfast foods, as well as cereal types (My other favourite is Multigrain Cheerios) so I'm not eating it that often :D

it's yummy.  and it stays crunchy for a good long time; important for slow eaters like me!

I love kashi cereals especislly the GoLean! Crunch. But like you said it is high in sugar. I like to mix the regular GoLean! half and half with GoLean! Crunch because it cuts out a lot of the sugar but still has that crunch. I also only eat about 3/4 c with 3/4 c milk because a whole cup of cereal and milk is way to much for me and I LOVE cereal. I also top my cereal with frozen unsweetened blueberries and pour the milk over it all and it tastes delicious!
