So I just found a trainer that people like in my area who mainly specializes in kettlebells. Does anyone have experience wtih them? Are they a good way to get in shape? I have read some things here that they are similar to dumbbells but can be more fun etc, do they fit the requirements of lifting heavy, etc et etc...I am meeting with him next week just to see since if it worked out it would be awesome since it is super close to my house, etc. I just wanted to hear some people's experiences and if people think that would be conducive to accomplishing my goals (losing some body fat, getting stronger, etc..wow I've said etc a lot in this post..sorry! I just finished waitressing all day after being up super super early so my brain is a bit fried)...anyways any posts about experiences, and answers to my questions would be much appreciated!!

I have never used them.  However this article, describing the authors experience with them, did peak my interest when I first read it:

Kettlebells put to the test

You may find it interesting.

Thanks for the article ds1973, it was really interesting

I work for a company that has an onsite fitness center and trainer (not that I use it enough...). But anyway, our trainer there swears by them -- says he's seen people get extremely fit with kettle bell workouts.  Hope that helps!

Cool, I am glad people like them, I am excited to try them
