How do you kick yourself out of a plateau?

Hello all! I'm interested to see how fellow Calorie Counters kick themselves out of a weight loss plateau?

I have been on CC since February, and have lost about 21 lbs (give or take a pound or two) and I think I have come to a screeching halt. I am a 23 year old female 5"7 and currently weigh 207-208 (down from 228 lbs). I am extremely happy with what I have been able to accomplish, but I have quite a way to go. I do cardio 4-5 times a week, and incorporate weights about 2-3 times a week. On average I eat about 1600-1800 calories per day, and stay within the safety deficit. For about 2 weeks now I have stayed around the same weight, although none of my eating habits or exercise routines has drastically changed. I'm getting quite frustrated, as I have a vacation coming up in July and would LOVE to at least be under 200 by then. 

I'm interested in those who have been where I've been and what you do to get things moving again! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Smile

I feel your pain.  I started CC in January and went from 248 to 190.  I have only got to lose 2 more pounds to get to 60 lost (one of my big milestone goals) but it just won't happen.  For a month I've been at almost exactly the same weight, I used to see daily ups and downs on the scale but even that isn't happening anymore.  I'm just always the same. 

I've spent a lot of time going through the "Ask Mary" archives and this is what I've found:

-exercise every day and split your exercise into two 30 minute blocks, seperated by at least 20 minutes. 

-incorporate more spontaneous exercise, like taking the stairs, parking further from the grocery store, etc.

-and then all the usual stuff- increase fiber and water, super count your calories, be patient. 

It sucks.  But it's (apparently) beatable.
