What kind of excersizes promote fat loss??? I realllllllly need help!!!

I love my legs (they are full and curvy), but I want to tighten and shrink my stomach. My upper abs are flat, it's just that annoying ponch called my lower abs!!! Are there any excersizes that promote fat loss in this area?? Why does most of my body fat go to my stomach by the way? It's weird, my face, legs, arms, and chest are pretty small, but my stomach is the largest out of all of them!!!

What kind of foods should I eat if I want to build muscle and loose fat??? Any special diets you suggest??

weight training - muscles burn calories to maintain them, even when you're sitting doing nothing, so more muscle=more cals burned

cardio - to burn off calories

Thanks a bunch!!! How do I weight train??! What kind of diets should I be on???

Let's face it, fat usually gathers around the stomach, and the thighs for us women. I noticed that by swimming (breakstroke) not even very fast, those areas tends to shrink quite a bit. Simply swim slowly (harder than it looks) and remember to hold your stomach when you swim. It will tighten the stomach area. And swimming is a great exercise. You will burn around 700 calories for one hour of swim. I love swimming, (I personally don't like to feel "sweaty" so swimming is for me the best of both worlds. I would invest in a heart rate monitor and keep your heart rate around 120-130 depending in our age. So you will be in your "fat burning zone". Lots of people make the mistake to exercise to harshly and are in the "muscle gaining zone", therefore not loosing as much fat as they want. Here that were my two cents, or maybe four. Have a good night!

Unfortunately you can not spot reduce. Weight loss is total body and genetics takes over where you lose the weight first or where it gets distributed first. Cardio hitting your target heart rate and weights to boost your metabolism are the way to go.
NO, cardio is not the best way to lose fat. Cardio plus dieting does not burn more fat than just dieting alone. Weights and dieting is the best way to lose fat. Notice I'm saying fat and not weight.  You do not want to lose what muscle you have, especially if you're female.

Heavy, compound movement weights. Squats, dead lifts, military presses, chest presses and rows.

yes i know it sucks having a skinny body but a fat stomachYell its a big stress for me just like it is for many other people but the best way to loose the stomach fat is by doing as many curl ups as you can.but you have to do it every morning and every night before going to sleep.make sure you have not ate anything before doing the curl ups.make sure you do that for at least a month then you will see the results.Smile

There's no such things as a "muscle gaining zone" for heartrate.  As a general rule, cardio won't help you build muscle.

Um, exercising the muscles in a particular area will not promote fat loss in that specific area.  You can't choose where fat comes off from.
