What kind of exercise do you log Turbo Jam as?

I just started doing Turbo Jam & I thought high impact aerobics would probably be the best but I found this site:

http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/calories_ burned.asp?exercise=204

and it says it's included under kickboxing. And it burns a lot more calories than the high impact aerobics. What do you all log Turbo Jam as?

Well, I don't personally do any of them, but both Tae Bo and Turbo jam are kickboxing-based, and as far as I've heard from posters on-site using the Judo activity gives you a roughly accurate burn figure.
I LOOOVE TJ!  I usually just log it as judo/kickboxing (usually those are combined)

I was wondering though, wouldn't you think those may be pretty low if you use the weighted gloves as well?

Ah it gets so confusing =P

Yeah I just need to invest in a heart rate monitor & not have to deal with this anymore! I'm worried I'm overestimating calories burned & therefore eating too much.

I am just curious if you bought Turbo Jam from Beachbody directly or somewhere else?  I have seen really good reviews on it.  Do you enjoy it a lot?  Do you do it everyday? Smile

i have a question wat is turbo jam consisted of???
I'm looking to buy a HR monitor too..it would be so helpful!  They're just so expensive =\

cebam- I always buy my workouts through Beachbody, directly.  They are AWESOME!  And, I LOVE TJ.  It is so much fun that I LOOK FORWARD to doing it everyday.  It's hard to get myself to take rest days because I almost see it as more of a hobby than a workout!  But I basically do some form of it every day.  They have cardio and weighted workouts so I mix em up for a good workout =)

akramer21 - TJ is a cardio-kickboxing program.  It has a lot of punches and kicks, but are set to music so you can "dance it up" as much or as little as you'd like.  That's why I love it!  It can be customized to your liking.  No matter which move you are doing you are burning calories, so it's a lot of fun!
