kind of a gross/weird question... (females only)
This sounds really weird, but has anyone ever tried to pluck some of the hair... down there...?? I know it would probably hurt and take a long time, but I was just wondering if I'm the only one? Sorry for being gross haha
No, I've never tried it down there, I have plucked some hair from my knees though.. I always miss them when shaving in the shower..lol
But I was wondering if getting a bikini wax hurts?? I've been wanting to try it just to save me some time. Do alot of people get bikini waxes? I honestly don't know because, well I guess it's just kind of an akward subject to talk about..lol
I've plucked down yonder before, but only on the bikini line and nowhere near the sensitive bits. It didn't hurt much, but a week later I had the worst ingrown hairs. Yes, from /tweezing/. I don't advise it.
Perhaps a waxing might be a good idea? I've never done it -- too chicken -- but I've heard good things about it.
Unless you have a freakishly high tolerance for pain, I would stick with shaving, rather than waxing.
After I got over the initial pain and redness of the wax, sure, it looked great, but it was one of the most painful things I have ever experienced, and I will never do it again.
Plucking is kind of pointless if you want to majorly renovate your basement, but for stray hairs I say, why not? Just be sure to pluck in the direction of the hair growth, and be warned, it will hurt like a b****.
Shaving is preferable over the pain of a wax. Have thought about a brazillian but just cant get past the threshhold of pain! I'll stick w/ shaving.
After years of thinking of waxing, I finally took the plunge about 2 years ago. It's great and I feel like a sasquatch if I wait too long between waxes. Your first time will be the most painful. Here's what happens:
I leave my undies on and she just has me hold them off to the side while she's working on that area. I get a "Bikini Plus" wax. It's more than a bikini but it's not the brazilian. She plucks any strays and that seems to hurt worse than the wax. She will snip with scissors, the ones that are left. Then, she puts some oil on the whole thing and a little bit of powder. It's minimal so it's not sticky, it's soothing. Takes just a few minutes.
You can get some stuff called "No scream cream". It's like a numbing cream...I actually learned of it from a show on transexuals that get laser on their face. It takes about 20 minutes to kick in. However, I have forgotten to apply it numerous times and now I can get waxed without it.
I use hair removal cream. Painfree!
I had a bikini wax once (for my honeymoon)- NEVER again! The pain was awful- I bled from the pores which meant a nasty rash for a few days (i.e.no swimsuit!) and it grew back in no time! Just my experience though...![]()

well..um..ok...
*takes deep breath for courage*
For almost a year I've been waxing. Down there. More than bikini. I'll tell you this- the first time was very painful. The worst part is knowing that the wax is on and hardened and ready to be pulled. It's sometimes a real battle to force myself to pull hard and quick.
What worked for me was to do as much as I could stand the first time, then the next month a bit further in, and so on. Don't do any tweezing/waxing the week before, during and after TTOM, because of extra sensitivity during that time (I know, it's a small window!)
I can't imagine how much tweezing would hurt, I do my upper lip and it's like stabbing myself with needles!
Oh yeah, the end result- totally worth it!! As long as you can avoid ingrown hairs (need to loofah to keep the pores clean)
