I'm having problems with my left knee again. It had gone away but it started the day after I used new shoes. So I went back to my old shoes but the problems remains. I have crooked legs so my left knee hurts on the left side on the bone part not on the joint. It appears that my left leg turns my foot towards the outside. It has happened that it locks and I have to stop. But most of the time is just annoying. I'm looking for some suggestions what I could do. I have a knee support which I have used and it helps but I don't want to use it everyday. I take supplements for joints as well.
I'd have to say a visit to the doctor would be a good bet. It may be a few strengthening exercises will be of real help, or perhaps an orthopedic insert will help the foot to come down evenly to avoid strain on the outside of the knee. It's pretty hard to know without actually seeing you in action -- if a doctor visit is out of the question, you may get some reasonable advice at a specialized running shoe store as a next-best alternative.
