Knees hurting after every workout session
Hi all
I am following 30 day Shred since like a month now. This has never happened before, but since a couple of weeks, during and after the workout, my knees hurt. Its not like a major injury or sometihng (i guess) coz the pain vanishes by the next morning and starts again soon as i start the warm up. It hurts especially when i do squats and lunges. I do take care of the knee (not going over the toe) but still this has been happening. Whats going wrong and where? is there a home remedy for the same?
Thanks
When I do squats I imagine myself lowering into a chair instead of focusing on the toe-knee ratio- it's the same thing but the mental image allows me to adjust something there...
With the lounges, I take it easy for now or else my knees hurt I think I need to build up more calf strength and stability in order to be able to do these right.
i do that too. Maybe its the shoes. Yeh i took that part very very lightly. I havent been using any shoes coz i was working out at home itself! Does it count a real lot?
I workout at home, and I have some knee issues. I think it's actually been beneficial for me to workout barefoot.
At least barefoot I seem to keep my footing better thatn with socks or shoes. That has improved my lunges and split squats at the very least.
I had started doing this program to help with my knees -- but I've gotten lazy, and quit doing it. I should start it again....
the same thing happened to me. Went to the Doctor, Had xrays & MRI. I found out I have arthritis in my knees. I couldn't believe it, as I'm very young, but it's true.
Very frustrated with it. How am I going to exercise now?!

You are scaring the **** out of me!!
You may need to check your squat technique. Do you push from your toes when you come up?

uumm..well not exactly all the weight from toes, but yeh toes do have a lil part when i squat. Though i make a concious effort to push up through my heels. how do i do a perfect suqat?
Here's a link for proper squat technique. It's refering to squatting with an olympic barbell, but the information should still prove helpful.
