K2O Protein Drink

Quote  |  Reply

Does anyone have a positive experience with using the K20 Protein mix in water? I need to loose a lot of weight (aprox. 80 lbs) and have decided not to worry about the scale now, but just to make sure I am making necessary lifestyle changes to eventually get to this goal. I like the idea of having 5 g of protein with only 30 cal., but it seems like it's more difficult to loose weight when I use it. I stopped for a week and the weight went down... could this be because of the protein? Does anyone have any experience with this K2O powder? Thanks in advance for your responses.

It's tasty and pretty filling, but it does not mix well....can be lumpy.  A friend told me the trick is to mix it in room temp water, then chill it.  If you mix it with cold water it lumps.

A lot of people say not to drink your calories.  I edit that to say "think about how many calories you're drinking."  You didn't specify how much of this stuff you were consuming, but 5 bottles of water is pretty much average for me in a day, and that would be 150 calories of sugar and protein.

But then, I'm still on a kick because I was drinking those fiber water drinks for a while before I realized that broccoli has fewer calories, more fiber and vitamins, and is a real food to boot.

You find the same thing with a low-calorie protein.  5g really isn't a lot.  A cup of chopped chicken has 43g protein and 230 calories, 5gx9=45g, 30x9=270cal  so 9 drinks = a piece of chicken

I dont drink it all day.  I drink it as as a snack.  Or like, I if I eat lunch and I am still a little hunger, I will drink a bottle of the Protein water and it makes me feel full.  I don't drink it all day just maybe one bottle every other day to keep from eating cracker, chips, or another filler at lunch.  I usually can't even finish the bottle.  I keep it with me as well at work, because I work in a restaurant, it is easy to grap a french fry here or sip of soda for free.  Instead whenever I wanna grab a cracker or drink some coke, I will instead just take a sip of my protein water.  I like it.

Thank you for your replies. I would only use one a day on the day I would exercise. I guess I should add a pc of chicken instead since it has so much more protein. I eat two slices of lean turkey and light bread for breakfast, then salad without protein for lunch and then go to work out at 2 pm and usually get hungry around 1:45. I would begin drinking this before my workout and it seemed to take the emptiness away and gives me a little more energy for the exercise... I would mix it in room temp. water and only tried the iced tea flavor.. but my concern is I feel that I don't loose the weight that good when I use it... but maybe it's only in my head because it has only 30 cal. I do eat less when I drink it when I come home. I have a light snack and light dinner later on...I was just checking if anyone had more difficulties loosing weight when adding to the diet???? Thank you in advance..
