"The L Word"...anyone else watch?

Hey-

I have recently been glued to showtime on sunday nights here lately. i love the L Word. the cast is great, storyline keeps you guessing, its just great. sad to see the next season is the last. i am now watching the 3rd season so i still have alot to see, lol.

just wondering if any one watches and ever wanted to chat about the show, characters, scenes, or the entire lesbian lifestyle.

 

Heya! I am a fan of the show as well. So sad to see the end of the 5th season. I had surgery recently, and during my recovery a friend brought me seasons 1 - 3 on dvd...I had seen most of season 4, so I am fairly familiar with all the characters. It's a great show, and sad to see it coming to an end!

i know..wonder how life is after the l word?? lol..so whos your fav character...gotta be shane right?

yep, i watch.  i love it.  i love shane, but i love alice, too.  i really love alice and tasha together.

my favourite moment of this season: when bette got alice and shane to go with her to steal the sign for jodi, and alice called shane "fatty."

jennie schechter needs to be seriously shot.  seriously.

I am a big fan, although I haven't liked this season nearly as much as the previous ones. I love Shane, and I always marvel at how they managed to get the absolutely perfect actress for that part. That charisma is intense.

And I have to agree with pg. I spend a lot of time hoping they will axe Jennie Schechter. Ugh.

yeah jennie is a wierd one thats for sure..but from what i seen so far she was waaaaaay off in the begginning..lol. yea alice is a hoot..i love her too. shane is loveable cuz you know you could never have her..lmao.

I loooooovvve this show. I'm sad the next season is only 8 episodes and is the last. :( I guess it's better to end it while it's good than have crap storylines.

Jennie bothers me too but there's something about her I still like. Adelle, on the other hand, I'd like to punch in the face.

I love Shane... talk about insanely perfect casting. Kate Moennig makes that androgynous/butch thing sooo hot.

The cast is great though... each actress plays the part well. I'm kind of glad Helena is back surprisingly...  

next season is gna be great..shane broke jennies heart....im gna be sooooooo mad if shane ends up with her!!! damn girl never knows what she wants! shane is a soloist, thats that. itsboring seeing her with the same person for too long then she is no diiferent than the rest of the cast.

yeah shanes character is sooooooo hott. both straight genders are fasinated with her.

hahaha My guy friends think she's ugly. They tell me it's the same as being attracted to a guy. However, I think that's what makes her so sexy.

And I don't think Shane will end up with Jennie... I don't think they'd ruin the show that way. It's different with Bette and Tina... they're meant to be together.

And I hope they don't have Alice cheat on Tosha... they're too cute together.... oddly matched, but adorable nonetheless.  

i used to like jennie, when she was just damaged and neurotic (was it Papi who referred to her as "the little, dark, twisted one"?).  but this whole egomaniacal princess thing is brutal.  i don't think we have to worry about shane ending up with her; there's not chemistry there at all.  but i do appreciate the fact that shane loves and puts up with her, no matter what.

i have to get out of here, though, because the last episode of the season hasn't aired yet in canada, and i sense spoilers coming (helena?).

I watch it online... It works since I have a busted tv and they're airing like season 1 or 2 here in Korea... I've already seen seasons 1-4 like twice.

i was never a jenny fan...but in the last few episodes, she's grown on me a bit.

i'm curious to see how they will wrap up the show in the mini-season 6, which i guess we can speculate on once pgeorgian catches up!

Oh, I love The L Word!

I especially love when my sister caught me watching it one night and looked at me very seriously and said "Sonya, you aren't a lesbian, are you?" It was priceless! It's even funnier now since I've got her hooked on it too! lol

I liked Jennie in the beginning, when she was 'straight' and experimenting. It was hot. Now, I just can't stand her.

I'm so going to start watching it online! I'm never quite sure when it's on here and only tend to catch random episodes. I'm glad to see Bette & Tina back together though :)

I <3 Shane. She's definitely my favourite. And she'd be my choice if I was, uh, on the show. ;)
(On a side note, did anyone watch A Shot At Love with Tila Tequila? Ok, horrible show, yes, but Dani... oh god, I was so in love with her. I totally could have given up penis for her. Pardon my blunt-ness)

yea id def give shane some ass..lol. i never watched the tila one. most spectators hate jenny but ev1 on the show is in awe of her...for what?? she had a fine nice guy in her life..and screwed that up for a bitch that could barely speak right..given that she was fine as hell..a lil too thin, but stillf fine.

I love the L-Word.  Shane is hot, but so is Papi.  I can not get enough of the two of them.  After I put my son to bed, and I have the next day off; I will have an L-Word marathon.  I can not wait for season 5 to come out of DVD.  I already have 1-4. 

I'm addicted. I didnt start watching until after they ended QAF, but i plan on buyin the all the seasons on DVD. I'm def gonna be sad to see it end next year :(

Hahaha My parents asked me that when I started getting all of the seasons on Netflix to catch up on episodes I missed. I guess my watching "Queer as Folk" would make me a gay man then, right? haha

in my season three on my netflx..just came in today..lol

hmmm...okay watching the last ep of season 5 right now.  it sure looks like it was shot in LA...at least parts of it (they usually shoot in vancouver).
