Weigh-ins: Mondays

Finale Weigh-In:  Monday, Sept 1st, Labor Day: A day of rest from work, you can pat yourself on the back for the good you've done for your own body this summer~!

Set a reasonable goal that you think you can achieve with making better eating choices, exercising beyond your regular daily activities, drinking more water, counting calories.. however you want, as long as it's a good, healthy way to lose weight. Get started today!

Okay, Im in.   This is my first challenge on here.  Im setting the goal for 10 lbs because, Ive basicly been loosing 1.5 a week.  Its a bit more than that, but it seems like a good place to start.

Height: 5'4" Female 35 yrs.

    Labor day Challenge Monday Weigh-in

    Start weight (June 18) 254

    GOAL: 240 (by Labor Day)

    • WEEK 1 (June 23): 250.5. Got over my period this week and experienced the typical (for me) several-pound-drop at the end, which makes up for the miniplateau I get during it. Also worked my tail off this week.
    • WEEK 2 (June 30): 249. On track!
    • WEEK 3 (July 7): 249. Bad week - repairs to pipes in our apartment have necessitated eating out more than normal.
    • WEEK 4 (July 14): 248-ish. Forgot to weigh today. Was 248 on Sunday and 245.5 on Tuesday. (Water loss for sure.)
    • WEEK 5 (July 21): 244! Well, this was the end-of-period several-pound loss again. 4 pounds in 6 weeks sounds pretty do-able. Maybe I should rearrange my goal. :D :D
    • WEEK 6 (July 28): 242. Things are proceeding apace.
    • WEEK 7 (Aug 4): ?  Weight was fluxuating a lot this week.  I got 240.5 one day, and 243.5 two days later.  See week 8 for details on why.
    • WEEK 8 (Aug 11): 243.  Bleh.  A little backstep caused by a number of things.  A little overeating, a little less activity (pulled a muscle in my hip :/), and a little of the monthly thing.  Back on the exercise wagon as of yesterday, though - my hip is healed, I think.  And being a little more careful about the food - took the candy off my desk for one thing ;).

    • WEEK 1  (June 23): 152... I've hit a plateau... I started this all in April as 162 and have been gradually going down until now so I'm determined to finally break this almost 2 week plateau of mine so that next week I see some loss.

    I'm down 3.5 to 136.5 this week. Which means I've already passed a third of my 10 lb goal for this challenge. My final goal is 125 lbs, so I may attempt to reach that by September, although I'll till be really happy with 130 :)

    You all are doing GREAT!!!...unfortunately, I'm not.  I'm stuck with 119.  I'll try to bump my cardio to 5-6 times a week, coz I was only doing 3 days alternately with weight/strength trainning.  Hopefully I'll see results.

    Hi everyone, I am hoping a new way to start and break into this new way of life is here with you guys. I am 41 y/o female 5'8" and I am 255. Goal weight by Labor Day gonna round it it off to 240. UGH Wish me luck...as well as I wish all of you luck! Anyone have ideas how to achieve this?..hehehee

    I had such a great time, and great results, with my previous challenge, so I hope this challenge keeps me just as motived!  I actually pulled myself out of bed at 5 a.m. this morning to do my Biggest Loser Cardio workout DVD, so it must be doing something already! :)

    Hey count me in.  I have started and stopped so many times I can't count anymore.  I'm 52 years old, female, 5'10 and 333 lbs.  My goal is to drop 20 pounds by Labor Day.   I can use all the help I can get.  I know what to do to achieve it.  It's just doing what I know I should that I'm having a problem with.

    June 23rd weight:  183.5! I have already gained 2 pounds. Dang the weekend!Yell   It WILL be gone by next weigh-in. Good luck to all of you!

  • I'd like to join the challenge. I am 23 years old, 5'4.5 and 147.7 lbs. I am working full time and am a law student. I've been exercising pretty seriously since Jan and have lost 20 lbs already. I would like to lose 23 or so more. So, I would love to be able to lose most of it by then.
