A few of us have been chatting about how difficult we find weekends.  Our problems range from not drinking enough water to simply not logging on to CC at the weekend.  Other favourites include not exercising, drinking too much alcohol and not exactly staying on track food-wise!  I'm pretty sure I've stayed away from CC at weekends because I knew my "friends" would kick my butt, get me moving and help me stay on track and I didn't REALLY want to!

If any of this sounds familiar, then come and join us.  I'm committing to logging on more at weekends, in order to stay focussed but I need people to chat with - interested?

And if you have any bright ideas on how to stay on track at weekends, then please post them here - otherwise, chat to you at the weekend!

i have no idea what the new challenge should be. i can tell you right now though that i wont be anywhere near a computer this weekend. i'm heading back home to texas on friday and spending the weekend with my boyfriend. i cant wait! it will probably be a horrible weekend eating-wise however. oh well, ill get back on track afterwards, although its going to be tough..

caro: how are you going to cut your hair! i have long hair and im kind of a chicken when it comes to cutting it. part of me wants to go drastic and chop it off in a victoria beckham cut... but i dont kow if i have enough guts! lol.

olivia: ill be sending you weight loss vibes too!! what grade do you teach? my mom teaches kindergarten. i dont know how you do it, i dont think i could handle a room full of kids.

spedteach: 5 lbs to go, you can so do it! and aww, weddings are so fun. i haven't been to one in forever. where are you going on vacay?

I need pics of caro's new haircut and I am sending you "good choices" vibes, missie.....   ( ;

thanks, maggie --  I am insane...... I teach high school Englsih, 10th and 11th graders usually.....

I am a kid myself -- we get along.  ( ;

Hi all - my second post here to say I'm gearing up for the weekend by planning out my whole meal schedule - something I never did before.  My eating habits during the week have continued to improve, which I'm proud of.  I can even go out to restaurants and not come unglued.  Any tricks and tips for setting up and logging weekend plans?

Haircuts - been there!  If you're nervous (like me) about attracting attention for the "wrong" reasons (I wanted to look better and more with-it, so there!) you can donate your hair to cancer patients - it's called Locks for Love.  Or you can just tell poeople you did :-)

hey matty....

I try and do my shopping according a (general) meal plan for the week/weekend....    Like I know I will go through tons of salad/spinach, so I get lots of that....  I get lots of fruit for snacks.  Veggies too.....  I try to pick weekend meals that are easy, yummy, and don;t take too long.  Do you have meal/recipe faves that will work like that for you?  How about making some stuf in advance  that you can pre-portion for easy weekend logging?   Ever use your crockpot?  that's my fave lazy cooking method in the summer.....

Locks of Love is awesome -- I did it as a teen and my sis did in college.  AWESOME thing to do....

Step away from the scissors people - it's just a trim Tongue out

hi everyone, I would love to joyin the weekend gathering, cause I know I have no control(over snacking) and need help

Welcome chel!

Currently we don't have answers, just lots of questions!  But come and join us Smile

Ok everyone, it's challenge time!  An easy one this weekend, mostly cos I'm choosing it and need to be able to achieve it!

Drink at least 64 oz water on both days.

Ok?  Fill your water bottles and get on your marks...

New haircuts are so fun! I usually go in and sit and tell my stylist to go to town - which sometimes can be frightening!  -

My vacay is to north Myrtle Beach at the beginning of July -- I went there when I was a kid and haven't been back in a long time.  I'm going with my parents, sister, her hubby, my neice, and my man - should be a good time. The men can golf, us ladies can hit the beach!  Also I heard Hard Rock Theme Park opened and I love roller coasters so I'm pumped!

I have a busy Saturday but time to relax Sunday - Heart walk in the morning, wedding shower, and then am workin at the bar 5- close so I don't  really have too much time to snack. ( I will be strong at the shower!)

64 oz of water both days... ready go... if I don't post anything, its because I have the tiniest bladder in the world.  TGIF (almost!)

OK -- self goals for the weekend.

I've got 'em.

I seriously gained 14 lbs with my period this last week or so ago.  I mostly avoided the scale this week -- in the hopes that for me weigh in tomorrow, I might be back to close to where I was  (164)

No such luck.  Scale said 169 and 171 today in the span of 30 seconds, so I will average and say 170, up six from water still I guess despite drinking tons of water......

So, my goals.  Exercise all 3 days --- cardio and at least a few minutes of strength training too.   Drink a TON of water.   Try not to drink all my calories instead of eating them.    Get back to 164 if it kills me.

I was SO CLOSE to my mini-vacation-goal of 160.   and then this.  J actually giggle when I lamented to him this fact.   I bet him $50 I could make it to 160 before our trip and he would give me that money to get a new outfit with.....  Now I feel very defeated, almost like I am starting over.  Feeling sorry for myself never does much, so I am trying to keep a positive outlook (TRYING) and keep going forward.

Enough about me.....   (sorry)

Ok everyone, it's the weekend.  Well, pretty much!  It is the weekend for Olivia cos she has today off.  Hope everything goes well Laughing

As for the weight fluctuations, I've commented elsewhere and know that you're feeling better about it than this post implies.  New smaller clothes will do that!

Oh, and give J a slap from me.  Boys!

Edited to add - don't forget the water challenge, people!  And if you're struggling/bored/have time at the weekend come on here and chat.  I won't be around much but am sure that some of you will be!  Let's support each other.

Ok, pep talk over Wink

I love pep talks!

(and caro is an expert pepper)  ( ;

I am feeling better.....  I am more than a number on a scale, even when I feel bad about myself, I need to step back and take in the big picture....   I wanted to smack him, all right.

My head is killing me, so I am seeing an afternoon walk personally.   =P

Off to have coffee and then do my measurements in the hopes of seeing what the scale is not showing me right now.

Ok, my goals.  I will exercise both Saturday and Sunday and I will not eat too much.  Oh and drink lots of water.

Oh thank you, thank you, thank you! for the nice easy weekend goal, Caro. It's going to be a weird one for me and I probably couldn't do much else. I'd hate to fail miserably two weekends in a row.

Saturday I need to pack my stuff for my trip to New Orleans (hey, why be in a hurry?) and make preparations for the kitchen floor installation. [Please cross fingers that I'll come home to a new kitchen floor!] Sunday I leave at 10 AM and I'll get back late on the 25th.

I'll be lucky to log on a little on Saturday but I'll be pullin' for all of you! Go grab this weekend by the cojones, girls!

Can I join?  It's Friday, weekends are bad for me - I completely fall off the wagon, stop exercising, don't check in with cc and almost always end up UP 2 lbs....then I work all week to get back down, sigh, it's a vicious circle.

My weekend goals:

1) exercise at least once

2) stick to the plan

3) check in to cc

Fingers crossedX

Have a good weekend everyone!

welcome to all the new girls!

Weekends used to be my utter downfall the same way you said rwbsmom.  MY bf knew I was walking to lose weight, but I never wanted to give up my "us time" with him to make "me time" a priority.  Now I do  --   ( :    he likes the hot new bod as much as I do, so who cares if he sees me sweaty?

WHy do you fall off the wagon?

oh and my cardio for the day turns out to be mow the big lawn.   J's dad let us borrow his mower since ours is broken.   We look like the Beverly Hillbillies pre-oil strike.   Hopefully I can hack my way through and get a workout too.  ( :
