A few of us have been chatting about how difficult we find weekends.  Our problems range from not drinking enough water to simply not logging on to CC at the weekend.  Other favourites include not exercising, drinking too much alcohol and not exactly staying on track food-wise!  I'm pretty sure I've stayed away from CC at weekends because I knew my "friends" would kick my butt, get me moving and help me stay on track and I didn't REALLY want to!

If any of this sounds familiar, then come and join us.  I'm committing to logging on more at weekends, in order to stay focussed but I need people to chat with - interested?

And if you have any bright ideas on how to stay on track at weekends, then please post them here - otherwise, chat to you at the weekend!

Have a great weekend, ladies!

Stay on track.  Be good to yourselves.   Think positive and smile!!!!

Sorry I've not been around much (erm, make that, at all!) but anyway, it's the weekend!

Are we all ready?!  Lot's of luck to Olivia in having a fantastically fun but non-weight gaining vacation!  But you must ENJOY it Liv, so don't beat yourself up over any choices you make, ok?

And good luck to all of us staying on track this weekend, too.  We can do it!  I'll be around this weekend so come and say hi if you have a few minutes :-)

This weekend's challenge - eat some raw veggies both days.  So that can be salad (lettuce, cucumber, tomato, radish, you get the idea!), crudités, whatever!  If you're really struggling, avocado with vinaigrette dressing counts!  I'll even allow veggie juice!

Post your results here.

Another thing - this weekend, take the time to remind yourself why you're doing this, and re-commit to it.  We all need to re-charge our diet batteries, and often :-)
I am doing this, so that I can take vacation pictures I am proud to show off.

I am doing this, so I could buy the tankini I bought tonight!

I am doing this, so I feel good in my own skin!!!!!

xoxoxoxox   ---I missed you terrbily, caro.   Hope all is well with you......

Somehow my weekend always starts out bad on Friday night and don't get any better over Saturday and Sunday.   Indeed, tonight was no exception, but I've got my plan lined up for the rest of the time.  Barbecues on all three days coming up are going to be a challenge - I intend to bring watermelon to all three, because I dn't really like it so I won't eat too much.

I'm doing this so I can keep up with the kids runnning around in the yard.  I'm doing this so I I can fit into the delightful raw silk suit I used to wear many years ago.  I'm doing this so I can fit into a bra I can buy in a store, not over the internet!!!

It is a long weekend.  I have no excuses for not working out and eating right.

I love the veggie challenge.  Carrot sticks here I come.

I am doing those this so I feel good about me.  I am doing this so when  I go shopping I don't cringe in the fitting room.

Although I am away from home, I am still thinking about you all AND I met my veggie challenge today for sure.  ( :

And walked at least a few miles in California!

This thread and this challenge absolutely saved me yesterday!  I was at a wonderful party, with food everywhere!  I scooped up a handful of peppers and carrots - no dip - and just munched.  Scopped up another handful later, kept munching - met my veggie challenge and my calorie containment challenge at the same time!  And of course, today I couldn't even tell you what those wonderful tempting appetizers were.  Thanks to all of you - good luck today!

YAY for you, matty!!!    ( :    that's awesome!!!!!

I got a veggie crepe yesterday in lieu of something like chicken because I wanted to be sure to meet caro's challenge.

YUM!

Had awesome tuna steask last night ---  sesame seeds, pepper, and honey mustard -- who knew?

Hey everyone -- just checkin in!  Rough weekend... my best friends bachelorette party was Saturday - and although I definetly burned some beer calories shaking my booty on the dance floor - I definetly had to cure my raging hangover yesterday with some pizza and bread sticks to absorb all the leftover yuck! oh well, your best friend only gets married once (hopefully!) right?  Back to business today!  I've done well eating today, and am working tonight so won't have time to sit and munch! Have a good week - 8 more days of teaching yahoooooooooooooooo

ok folks... another weekend is upon us....    good luck to everyone!

Miss you all.

I have done the best I could in LA and Vegas, but the all the walking may be countered with all the alcohol.    ) :

We shall see.

We fly home afternoon Saturday.

(((HUGS)))   (especially caro!)

main thing is you had fun!:)

Veggies, got it.  And I will ride twice...  Well, at least once.  Saturday is looking really busy with a shower for my daughter and helping my mother with her computer problems, so riding might be a challenge then.  But Sunday I will ride to the beach and back.

Weight has actually been moving down and the wedding is in less than a month so I really have to focus on my final weight loss push!  Actually, weight loss will have to continue for at least a year after the wedding at the rate I have been going, but there is still a push for as much as I can for this month.

I will not gain weight this weekend!!!

ditto! i will not able to move much (caught a bug, was put on antibiotics) but i will be careful with food!

I did not gain at all --- exactly the same when we got home.  Plus with sodium (evil pistachios), I might drop a few with all the water I have planned the next few days.   ( :

I am finally home ---  so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I met the veggie challenge too.   ( ;

I missed all of you!!!!!!!!!

How awesome that you did not gain an ounce!  I'm gonna go get ready to be a motorcycle mama and finally enjoy the Cleveland weather.  I've behaved this weekend and even dropped a bit on the scale.... will I hit my mini - goal by the end of the school year (Thursday!) We will see!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

I've got to tag this thread...I got online yesterday morning and got distracted before I found it. For reasons I'll never understand, I got a posting update about it from CC today (none otherwise for over a week.  ?)

I THINK I did pretty well this weekend. We went out a lot because my DH's kids were in visiting but I picked pretty well. We indulged in desert too but I split it with DH so not too much damage there either. We'll see what the scale thinks tomorrow!

A new month to tackle! Yippee!

hey - just saw this group - hope it's okay to be a late joiner - the weekend just finished and i did miserably - didn't excercise, drank too much, didn't log all the food and just ate whatever was served--- bloody "#¤%! I would like to join, so that i can be more consistent and not have to work extra hard the rest of the week to compensate.... it is after all supposed to be a lifestyle, not a diet struggle where i fail every weekend!!!!

Welcome Snehvide.  We all seem to have the same problem.

I didn't do so well this weekend.  I had a big cupcake at the shower that I didn't even like that much.  I really don't know why I ate it.  I just love sugar too much.  And I didn't ride Sunday, sigh.  Up a pound today.  I have to do better.

welcome snehvide!   I finally had something click for me about 8 months in --- it REALLY is a lifestyle.  If you do not want to exercise, ok, but eat better and drink more water.  Compensate for the beers at the bar, etc......    Be honest with yourself about the food in and the effort out.  It is hard to admit, but for me, the booze was counteracting almost all my hard work.  Once I cut out drinking through the week, I started losing like crazy.  I still drink a little on the weekends, but now I know whan is when too.....

hey clharr!!  chin up ----   did you ride today????

Everyone else????

anyone seen caro???
