Ladies and genltlemen, allow me to introduce myself...

Hello everyone out there in CC land.  I just joined on the 9th and I'm pumped.  I'm 40 years old, Male, 6'1", and currently 246 lbs.  With the help of this site and my health club, I've lost 9 lbs. since the 7th.

It's so great to be a part of such a supportive community.  We all are struggling with the same issues or we wouldn't be here.  With one another's help, we can all meet or exceed our goals.  How cool is that!!!  Thank you all for reading.  Feel free to check out my page, send me PM's, and comment in my journal.  I will be happy to add anyone to my buddy list who wants a friend.  I will support you in any way I can.  After all, that's what this is all about.  Good luck to everyone.

Hi & Welcome!

What a nice post to introduce yourself.  I have been a member since Jan 3rd and I've lost 9 lbs too.  Someone passed along this advice to me so I will to you.....be sure to update your profile so people can get to know you.

Today I entered things into my journal.  I think it will be interesting to see progress through the way my thinking changes during the weight loss, you may want to do the same.

Best wishes on reaching your goals : )

Hi you ...so inspirational to hear your stories and how well you are doing.I have always beleived that fad diets are for the birds and that calorie intake and calories burned was the only way to go.I have been able to maintain my weight for a few years but now I would like to try losing but being within the safe guidelines.I never have been much of a big eater and my biggest weakness has always been a few brewskies at night with a late nite snack of chicken wings and sauce (ouch!) Just by cutting out the wings and sauce I am saving about 800 cals. right there and by switching to light beer I am saving 150 to 200 calories (Can't give it up love it too much) But I have stopped other things.I am not a desert eater though I love  a strawberry short cake as much as the next guy but bye bye that.No chips and junk either...morning?Bye bye bacon & sausages (Save for the very occasional treat) and hello whole what toast no butter with a bit of peanut butter or a nice little shreddies. Lunch time? As much as possible I will keep it light, no bread...soft drinks? Fergeddabout it....Water is my drink...oh well LOL let's see how I do it would be great to be off to a succesful start like you. They say a man should eat no less than 1500 cals. a day and i was given 1,850 cals as my daily goal so I can lose 25 lbs in the next two months.I want to hear your progress as well

Thanks for the post and the encouragement from both of you.  I will add you both as friends and you may do the same if you wish.  If you are uncomfortable with the add, I will respectfully remove you.  Stop by my page whenever.  Let me know when you are doing well and what you did to get the results.  Conversely, let me know when you could use a pick me up (no admiral... I don't mean substituting a 12 oz. Glenfiddich or Knob creek for a 12 oz. beerTongue out).  I'll do the best I can to send you a short message and lift up your spirits.  Great to be part of such a big dysfunctional family as the CC site.  Keep in touch and don't give up.  Remember, I am a gourmet cook and might have a few tasty and healthy ideas to substitute for your trigger foods.  Let me know if you need help.  Take care - Cam.
