Hey I'm about 5'4", looking to lose weight but I'm not quite sure how much. Just curious about what you guys think.
Hey, I'm 5'4" and I'm currently 145 (I'm 24 years old). My goal weight is 125 because if I got down to the lower end of my healthy weight range (I think the lowest I can weigh for my age/height is 108) I'd look boney and horrible. I've got curves and I definitely don't want to lose them! I actually love the shape of my butt and hips....just working on getting them to be a bit smaller.
Hello there. I am exactly 5'4". I'm 35 years old, small-medium frame. My current weight is 195lbs and goal is 133lbs (expect to reach this January 2008 realistically, but hopefully sooner). I am moderately active also - walk about 20 miles a week and try to eat healthy. I believe you have to go by how you feel personally. Everybody is different. I know I look good at 154lbs, especially when I am exercising/walking regularly and am toned up, but I am aiming for my weight of late teens, as I heard this is where your 'real' weight settles. I think anywhere between 133 and 147lbs is ideal for me. Also, I agree with lady above - I am also naturally curvy and certainly wouldn't want to lose my womanly figure - I like to have hips, thys, boobs - I feel feminine, so if I feel I am losing this or looking too gaunt and bony, then I would stop. I am 27, 5'4", small/medium frame and currently hovering between 114-118. My goal is to stay about where I am at and tone, tone, tone.
I am 27, 5'4.5" I currently weigh 135, I used to weigh around 125-127. I think 135 looks good as long as you workout and stay toned, but I need to get back down since that's the size of most of my clothes and I want to be able to wear everything in my closet!! :) and just for more information the size difference for me between 125 and 135 is 4 at 125 and 6 at 135. hope this helps.

i'm 5'4 and my ultimate goal is 125... my highest weight was about 165 and my lowest weight (last year) was 128... i'm currently 150 and working my way down
I'm 5'4" and they gave me a goal weight of 131 - I am currently 160 - seriously don't see this happening as I am 50 and weight doesn't come off very easily anymore.
I'm 5'3 and my goal weight is 125. On my honeymoon I was 125 and I was actually comfortable in a bathing suit. I'm 150 now so I have a while to go.
I keep reading all these comments on threads about losing your boobs when you work out. I know you can't decide where the weight comes off and so you can't help it, but it scares me! Since my stomach/love handles are my biggest flab area, I've always felt like my chest (36D) and my calves (fairly slender) are my only phsyical "assets." I really want to lose my stomach (and I'm working on toning it), but it turns me off weight loss because I'm scared that I'll lose my boobs. I guess because they're bigger, I also feel like they make my stomach look flatter than it is (and I know that my boyfriend likes them). I guess this sounds like a stupid, ridiculous worry, but it scares me! I can't decide if I'd rather have a flatter stomach (and who knows if I'll ever get it actually flat), or keep my boobs (well, risk the loss).

it's probably best to want to look the flab off of your upper body since doctor's say it contributes to heart disease. most likely your boobs will get a little smaller but it will still look porportionate compared to yur smaller waist area.

well - unfortunately I have you all beat - I am about 5'5" and am at 242 lbs - it is my heaviest I have ever been and I am trying - but I need to try harder. My goal is to be about 150-160. My husband and I are now apart and have a competition to see each week how many pounds we can lose - today is day 1 - he is away working so no distractions - the gym, small portions and positive attitude I hope will see me through. any tips out there on great foods to help feel full and still be nutritious - the daily calorie counter is an eye opener and I am tracking everything I eat. I hope I can do this!

I am 5'4 and in peak shape. I work out 1hour every day and eat only fresh fruit/veg. and lots of protien. I am 117-120 depending on the day. I hope this gives you an idea of a goal to shoot for. Good luck, I know that you can all meet your goals!!!! I began really watching my diet a few years ago because I suffer from cystic fibrosis and as I get older (middle 30's) I found it harder to stay healthy. I did a diet overhaul (which was the hardest thing I have EVER done) After having 57 surgeries in my life I have not been to the doctor for an illness in two years!!! If there is anything I can do to help let me know (I have lots of good tips)

I'm 5'4" and I currently weigh about 119lbs. I don't think that I'm boney and I don't think that I've lost my curves. I weighed 142lbs. on my wedding day and when the pictures came back...well I was less than happy. I'm much happier now and as they say...you can never be too rich or too thin.
I agree with a lot of these replies. I am btween 5'4'' & 5'5". Am currently 150, it is too much. So many people say, "but your not fat." No, but very uncomfortable. This site suggests 135, I am very happy at 120-130. A big range...
I'm 5'4" and am starting here at 210 lbs . I would be happy to be 170 at this point in my life (age 54) but just want to get into size 12-14 clothes vs my tight 16Ws. I hate shopping at Lane Bryant and in the Plus sizes.

I'm almost 5'5, unathletic at an unimpressive 145-150 lbs. I've never been an athlete but I'd like to change that soon. I have unrealistic goals - ideally I would weigh 99-105 (so as to not be called fat in Asia). My lowest weight was 128 for this height, and I'm satisfied with my appearance anywhere from 128-135. 125 would be great, 115 better, etc.
I'm 5'4-5'5ish, 14 will be 15 soon, and i fluctuate from 115-120. My personal goal is 105-110. But that's just me i think a good weight for a person who is 5'4 is anywhere from 105-125. Well hope this helps!
I'm a bit shy of 5' 4''. I don't really have a goal weight, my goal is about being more fit (esp since I can't run a block without huffing and puffing). Not quite sure what my weight is atm because I don't have a scale but I should be somewhere around 120~125lbs. I plan to lose some fat, gain muscle and.. pretty much stay the same weight. Just more fit (:

i'm between 5'4 and 5'5. ~143lbs. i'm working on getting down to 135, but 130 is my ultimate goal weight--though once i get there, i'll evaluate and probably try to lose up to 10 more lbs. i haven't been 130 since...middle school. :P i'm 17 now, by the way.
