5'7 ladies with 5-10 pounds to lose?
Hey, I am totally stuck. I have finally gotten down to 132 pounds and am totally stuck. I would love to get to 125 (vanity weight I know). I eat about 1300-1500 a day, small frame and I run about 3-4 miles 4-5 days a week. I am really sick of not moving anywhere and would love any advice you have for me. Thanks!
Can someone who is 5' 7" 1/2, almost 5' 8" jump in? I am so with you! I know they are 'vanity' pounds (and I really just think my body doesn't want to go there) but I am all about doing what's good for me.
I'm always stuck in between 130 and 132 regardless of what I do-trust me, I've done it all. I have a small frame, didn't figure that one out for a long time, but had to concede that my frame was 'clouded' by fat.
I just upped my Cals today to see if I can jar something loose-at least I'm having a bit of fun!!.........
OMG I AM SO THERE! I am 5'7 and a half too, I usually point that out haha. I am seriously desperate :) if someone told me like no more peanut butter i probably would do it

I have been totally stuck, but part of the problem is the personal trainer I started with is making me gain muscle... which I like but it's put me back at 136-137 from 132. But my body LOOKS better... yet I still want to drop 5-10!

I have no clue re: the DVDs, depending on how long they are, what level you are exercising, etc. Just get in there an sweat your buns off!!! You can probably gauge it to a particular workout you do at the gym and judge it that way I would imagine.

Too funny, Samiam! I'm not a chocolate fan-I know, how bizarre-, give me the chips any day of the week, but I hear that if you switch to dark chocolate it's much better for you and the guilt factor is supposed to go down!!!![]()

I was 122 at Christmas and then I gained due to surgery and no working out - now I'm at 136!!!!
I want to get to 125 and LEAN...
It's hard going since I am already classified as a healthy weight for my height, but I need to replace the fat with muscle and also lose a few vanity pounds :)
I am starting my workout routine again today and will be working out at least 5 days a week. Hopefully I can feel comfortable in that bikini again this summer!
well healthybmi you hit the nail right on the head! im already having a love affair with dark chocolate...
question...do you think having a cheat day once a week is helpful? i've only recently started giving myself one and i think it actually is helping... because the day after my cheat day im like "omg...i have to be soo good today!" and that mentality lasts a couple of days, and by the time im getting off track...its time for another cheat day!
jw...i actually think i look pretty good, except my upper thighs are still carrying an extra half inch and its bothering me...my body is holding on to those last few pounds for dear life..damn it!
I'm 5'7, 124.
My body held on at 128 for two weeks, and then I kicked it into high gear to get down to 124. I feel comfortable here, but now I really need to TONE UP! As for cheat days, I work at Dairy Queen...it's taken so much will power not to dive into everything that we have. I always land on a 50 calorie nonfat fudge bar now :]
I sympathise with all this, as I've been stuck at 132 at times, then dipped lower (same height).
I suspect, though, that at this level we all need to be looking at body fat and measurements as more accurate. You can be a higher weight and leaner, because of muscle mass; anblackb, your latest picture suggests you have pretty low body fat at the moment, and that you might be losing muscle if you dip lower... Just a thought!

, but it has been a constant problem all my life regardless of how toned or thin I become-I guess acceptance is the answer but the brain hasn't quite tuned in yet.
As far as a 'cheat day', all of a sudden my body has decided it wants to revolt and I'm having to recalculate everything. I'm having to up food right now to lose (always a bizarre chemical equation) so I'll let you know how it goes.

Linka, I do a yo-yo back and forth from 133-127ish (don't you wish our height would adjust too!) constantly. I think we just want to see that damn scale say 12_ and stay there!!!!

wow this has really taken off! I was out of town this weekend, so that means drinking! I turn 21 this Saturday, any advice on keeping the weight loss going when alcohol is around?
oh yeah and back up around 131 132 again, 129 is a tease. I really wish there was an easier way

samiam, i dont really do a cheat day cause i would go crazy! I def can out eat anyone i know

linka, last time I was measured which was about 3 weeks ago at work I was at 20% body fat. I like to think that my picture is just flattering :) How is your weight loss going right now?

hey, i am totally with all of you. i'm 5 7 and hover between 127-129. my goal is to get down to about 120-122. it seems low but i'm small framed and carry all my weight on the lovely thigh area. what a treat!
how is it going for everyone else? i was at 133-135 for years and i finally dropped into the 12_s and have stayed here since february. that has been a success in and of itself! however, it is like i'm stuck. i keep trying to lower the number but it does not budge.
any suggestions out there?

I'm sure this is the first time alcohol has ever touched your lips....by the way, I just add it in to my day when I know that I'm going to be out in the evening. The hard part is trying to guesstimate how much and what I feel like drinking that evening! The killer part is if you are prone to the after hours munchies!!!
