LOCKED TOPIC
5'2"-5'3" 125-135 ladies MEET HERE!!
Just wanted to start a hopefully ongoing thread through our weight loss goals.
Perhaps for starters we can list our current weight, and our goal weight, age, and our calorie intake (and perhaps a little something about our weight history?) as follows:
Weight: 131
goal weight: 115
daily calories: no more than 1400
age:26
Ever since college my weight has "comfortably" lingered around the low 130's. I'm ready for a change and to get healthy, toned and very fit! I'm hoping that with the support of all of you guys out there I can accomplish this and you can accomplish your goals too!!
Let's come here to get motivation and support from eachother!
Who wants to start a biggest loser program for our height/weight on Monday June 18th?
I DO!!! Let me know what you all think!! Who's in it to WIN IT?!
:)

I'm somewhere between 5'2 and 5'3. ;)
Weight: 125.5
Goal Weight: 115
Age: 28
I put on quite a bit of weight when I was in my late teens-early twenties. At my heaviest I was a little over 200 lbs and wore a size 20 jeans. In 2000 I decided to do something about it. I started out losing weight the healthy way but after I lost a little over fifty pounds I hit a plateau and became discouraged and developed some very unhealthy habits to lose more weight faster. Big mistake. My metabolism slowed. I lost muscle. I was sick all the time and never had any energy. I got down to 123, but didn't stay there very long. Over the past few years my weight has been between 135-145.
In November 2006 I moved out of state for a job. I didn't know anyone, didn't know my way around, and was working crazy hours and doing a lot of traveling so I lived off of fast food and didn't exercise. My weight went up to 165.
Several months ago, I decided to start living a healthier lifestyle. I wanted to be leaner and stronger. I cook for myself now and don't eat out often. I've started walking often, working out with weights, and took up bicycling. I am in the best shape I have ever been in, but still have a ways to go.

daily calories: 1200-1500 per day

I was a petite teenager, I weight about 110 when I graduated high school. I gained the Freshman 15 my first year, and probably another 15 each year after that. Then I got a desk job, and gained another 20 or so lbs. During this time I was disgnosed with arthritis, so my activity level dropped a lot too.
I've finally found drugs that work for my arthritis, and am starting to exercize in addition to eating better. The site has helped me lose almost 20 lbs so far, but I have a ways to go still.

Height: Just under 5'3" :) Weight: 132 lbs Goal Weight: 115 Daily Calories: 1200-1500 Age: 47
I was down to 125 just last month, but I slacked off when I went on holiday for 3 days to New Mexico. That started off an unfortunate round of indiscriminate eating. Thanks to Ann I have committed myself to getting back to the program.
I don't exercise much so I hope to get some motivation to get my body moving as well as watch the calories and fat.
Well done to dt78 -- a very inspirational and impressive story.

Hey count me in too! My goal weight is 115 too and currently at about 130-133. I take in about 1300 daily and lose weight well at this level but i have to really plan ahead if i dont want to eat anymore!
looks good. Glad to see a few of you on here :) Maybe we can gain some more people by Monday, but if not that's OK.
Woo! It's 1:20 p.m. here. So far I'm doing very well with my calorie intake today. I just cleaned up my room a bit while my 1 yo was napping and my 3 yo old was water painting :) Now if I can just start doing this everytime my 1 yo takes a nap I will eventually get it to the point where my whole house will not have to have as much time spent on it trying to clean it up. I will just need to maintain it, hey it's just like losing weight, if you work hard to get rid of the weight you want, once you get to your goal you will just need to maintenance it and not have to do AS much to keep your weight off. Although it still takes effort and exercise and etc. to maintain.
How are your days going ladies? What's going on your lives weight wise and any other way that you feel like adding to here :)

Count me in! I started truly dieting and exercising for weight loss about two weeks ago (although I've been struggling to do so for about three years now) and I started at 137 pounds.
Current weight: 130
Goal weight: 110
Daily Calories: 1200-1300
Age: 19
I used to have hyperthyroidism, and I was treated for it in February this year, and ever since they had me consume radioactive iodine, I steadily gained 20 pounds up until last month no matter how hard I dieted or exercised. Now, I have hypothyroidism, but it's being managed with daily pills, so now I FINALLY have the opportunity to start losing weight again! I'm thrilled if you can't tell. =)
Two weeks ago, I started at 137 pounds, and my goal is to lose 20% of my body weight to get to 110 pounds. I'm currently at 130, and would love to reach my goal weight by the end of August!

I'm in college now, and I'm trying to get back down to a weight where I don't feel self conscious anymore. In high school, I think I was a pretty hardcore binge eater, I was playing sports all the time, but still, by the time I got out of there, I was around 145 or so, a lot of muscle, but also a bit of chubbiness. Now in college, I've lost some of that athletic mindset, so my body lost the muscle and some of the fat. I fluctuated from 125-130 for the first few years, then last fall, I got a little depressed, ate all the time, and hit 142 pounds around this past Christmas. I finally realized that the solution to feeling sad is not to eat an entire package of oreos, and I'm struggling to gain contol of my weight. I never really faced the fact that I had a problem head on before this summer because it just seemed so overwhelming. Now, I'm a bit more honest, and C-C has helped me look over my habits and realize so many things.
After Christmas, I started working out again and making healthier food choices to lose 14 pounds. But now comes the hard part, the last 9 to 11. I really would like to be stabalized at my goal weight before the start of the school year so that I can focus on my academics, so this summer is dedicated to losing that wieght. Now that I know I am a binge eater, and recognize that this is bad, I'm trying to change my habits. I do really well for a while, then my motivation flags. (whew, that was long...)
I'm definitely in for the biggest loser program, or whatever other challenge, I'll keep checking back to see what we decide!
Ann- thanks for starting this club!
dt78- I'm trying to be like you, getting in the best shape of my life (congrats by the way!), but still have a ways to go. What is your workout routine? Do you use a stationary bike, and what weight stuff do you do? (I'm currently really into running intervals, and just starting weight lifting, but looking for new ideas) Also, I have just now started cooking for myself, and am now obsessed with hungry-girl.com....
So I'm excited! I can keep my motivation up now that I feel somewhat accountable! Good luck to all, and I'll be back!

yay! More people :) Welcome!
Prettypink, I'm glad that you are now on the road to stabilization after all the thyroid issues. I know a little bit about that since my 2 oldest siblings have had similar experiences. My oldest brother has graves disease which is under control now, but he also was given radioactive treatment ( I don't know if I said that right, but you know what I'm trying to say). My oldest sister has the thyroid that slows you down too. She though takes pills as well. I haven't heard of them having any issues for a few years now, so good luck to you!
Jkowals, that's awesome you just did a half marathon, with a VERY good time I might add!! How did you do it so fast?! I am training for a marathon right now! It's in October. I would love to be able to run it in a respectable time, however I think I will be looking at no faster then 10 minute miles for now. Tomorrow I run my long 12 mile run. It should be fun! I actually really am excited for it, as crazy as that might sound :)
looking forward to more posts!

I just recently moved out of my 3 week plateau from 125 to 121 but I have a few more pounds to go. These last few are going to be the hardest but I know that it will be worth it to reach my goal! I don't know how fast they will come off but I am willing to join in.
I am always anxious to hear how other petite people are slimming down!

Thanks. :)
We have some great bicycling trails around here and even though I'm not fast at all yet I've really gotten into bicycling whenever I have a chance. I got a bicycle last September. At that time, I couldn't ride for twelve miles without having to stop three or four times. I went out and rode 12.5 miles this morning before work only stopping briefly to take a couple of sips of water and turn around. On Saturday I rode 16 miles in the morning and 22 miles in the afternoon. On Sunday, I rode 30 miles. I typically will go as fast as I can for a short while then slow down to about 12-14mph, then pick up the pace again.
I also joined a gym and work out with free weights and machines. As for cardio, besides bicycling, I also use the ellipticals at the gym-anywhere from 20-40 minutes typically and I vary the intensity. I also get out and walk when I can.
I typically eat about 1,400-1,800 calories a day-a lot of whole grains, lean meats, and fruits and veggies and I eat small portions all day long. I've really cut back on processed foods. I try to watch my fat and sodium intake and drink a lot of water.

Hey all!
I'm 5'3"
weight: 119
goal weight: 110
I have struggled with some eating disorders, and weight at my lowest 94 lb, and at my most 125. I cant imagine how my body was affected by this rollercoster. I would not eat hardly anything for some months, and then eat normal for a little while, and then binge and...
I used to exercise thinking: Oh great, now I have run for 30 minutes, that is about breakfast in calories. I would not eat anything more.
well, I'm on the road to recovery now. And constantly if feels like I'm doing something wrong when I eat, but I force myself to do it anyway. I love to eat, but I just feel guilty. It's hard to loose weight when your mind seems to be twisted:P
Well again, I wish everyone luck!

Height: 5'2"
Current weight: 127
Goal Weight: 115
Daily calories: Shoot for 1200, not over 1400
This is my first post on this website, but I've been using it to count calories for the last month. I've battled my weight my whole life it seems, but find I will lose by eating 1200 calories a day. I've really got to count the calories though as its so easy for me to get crazy with the old food. I'm 40 years old, and want to be in shape, happy, and confident for the next 40 years.!
My high weight was about 165 about 10 years ago. Since then I've yo-yo'ed between 130 to 155. I've been doing really well this last month, losing a pound a week slowly but surely. It sure seems to take longer to take it off than put it on! Have a great weekend!
