LOCKED TOPIC
5'2"-5'3" 125-135 ladies MEET HERE!!
Just wanted to start a hopefully ongoing thread through our weight loss goals.
Perhaps for starters we can list our current weight, and our goal weight, age, and our calorie intake (and perhaps a little something about our weight history?) as follows:
Weight: 131
goal weight: 115
daily calories: no more than 1400
age:26
Ever since college my weight has "comfortably" lingered around the low 130's. I'm ready for a change and to get healthy, toned and very fit! I'm hoping that with the support of all of you guys out there I can accomplish this and you can accomplish your goals too!!
Let's come here to get motivation and support from eachother!
Who wants to start a biggest loser program for our height/weight on Monday June 18th?
I DO!!! Let me know what you all think!! Who's in it to WIN IT?!
:)

Hey! I just found this site, and this was
the first link I clicked on! Perfect!
I am:
height: 5'3"
weight: 130
goal weight: 120
frame: small
activity level: light
age: 58
At 1200 calories/day, this site says I should lose the 10 pounds by Aug 26, which is 15 days after my 40th high school reunion, and that's great. Although my frame is "light," I'm fairly muscular and won't want to get too much thinner.
I'm going to do treadmill work and weights, alternating weights one day and treadmill the next, taking one day per week off for rest. On the treadmill I've been trying something my daughter read about, 15 seconds of fast running, followed by 45 seconds of walking, for 10 sets. It only takes 10 minutes and is supposed to be the best way to raise metabolism. Although I haven't done any reading on this myself, it does feel like a good workout!
I have a master's degree in nutrition, and if anyone has any questions, I'll be happy to help where I can.
With a weight loss goal of only 10 pounds, I don't think I can be the biggest loser in terms of pounds. But count me in!!
I've seen similar forums start before, and what mostly happens is that people tend to not post if they're backsliding, which is exactly when they should be reaching out for support. Can we make a pact to check in at least every few days, whether we're doing well or not?
Good luck all. Let's all be losers! ;)

glad to see more ladies joining :) I think I will definitely be able to keep the pact of posting on here no matter what, seeing as I already have posted a billion times today! :)
Well the running total (I think) for me today was 1470. I didn't log everything right after I ate it, so I tried to remember. I'm not sure how accurate that is. Today I have eaten the most yet in my calorie counting. I'm feeling almost a little ill to my stomach because I feel like I ate soo much!
I'm thinking this might affect my weigh in this week because I ate more than usual. Today is also my off day of exercise, which means I probably should have eaten a little less. At least everything I ate was healthy though!
My goals for tomorrow are: DRINK MORE WATER!!!! I hardly drank any water today which is probably why I ate more. Another goal: eat less nuts! I don't know why but for some reason the nuts have been calling my name! I'm not usually a nut eater, but I know they're good to eat alittle bit of during the day. I didn't eat a little bit of them today!
Tomorrow I wake up early to go for my 12 miler. 6 miles I plan to push my boys in the double jogger, the other 6 at the gym. Hopefully that will help out with eating too much today:)
Tomorrow if I am the first to start the thread I will post the title as follows: 5'2"-5'3" 125-135 ladies Sat. 6/16/07
p.s. does anyone know if you can get your ticker to be on your signature when you post, or if there is even a way to have a signature?
Thanks,
Ann

I don't yet see a way to have a signature, and I just tried to copy and paste the code for the ticker, and that didn't work. It looked like it should!
We could add each other as Friends and get to see more info about each other. I'll play with that a little later. Right now I have to go to the store for FOOD! lol
Has anyone tried Butter Buds? I usually steer away from fabricated "foods" but they don't look too bad.
Yeah...drink more water! I need to do that, too. Thanks for the reminder, Ann. :D

Hi Susannah. It's been a long time since I've tried "Butter Buds, " so I really don't remember it was any good or not. Ever use "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" Spray? That's one of my staples.
Hi guys! I fit in here too ...
Height: 5'2"
Weight: 126.2
Goal: 118
Age: 42
Calories: 1,200-1,400
FYI, there is another thread for us shorties, "4'11" to 5'2" accountability thread" and I am participating in the "slimming minis" group where we get points for the water we drink and the exercise we do, so that's keeping me motivated (I am competitive!)
My highest weight was 142 when I was in my early 20s. I started C-C and my "healthier" life on 4/13. After consistenly keeping my weight between 123-125 for years, I put on some weight after a career/lifestyle change. I started C-C at 130.2, so I've only lost 4 lbs. But I'm not too upset, because I am aiming for a long-term solution.
I thought I'd just go back to 123, but I think I'd like to change it up a little and lose a little more off my thighs this time around! :)
So far, in 8 weeks, I have consistently:
* Started drinking at least 64 oz water daily (replacing almost every other drink)
* Started the Couch-to-5K running program (currently on week 4)
* Work out at least 5 days a week, and normally 6
* Eat 4-5 times a day
* Split my carbs/protein/fats into 50/30/20
* Take a multivitamin daily
* In general, stay away from most processed food and eat lots more fish and skinless chicken breasts and veggies
So although the weight is coming off slow, I know once it goes it will stay gone, which is the goal. I am treating my body as a science experiment, and it's kind of fun - I've changed up a lot of things, including my calories and workouts and food. I have a LOT more energy, that's for sure!

Woop down to 129 today! I am a paragon of self-control, went out last night, only had four gin and diet tonics and then didnt eat when i came home. There might be something to this doing things in moderation malarky. How is everyone else doing?
finally someone who's like me! i'm alittle young but i need to lose a few :] hope you don't mind if i join.
age:15
weight:126
goal weight: right now 120
ultimate goal weight: around 112-115.
i was between 129-131 but i finally lost some weight!
hopefully i'll get there with your support :]

dt78- thanks for the info on your exercise schedule, i think i'm going to try and take up biking on vacation this coming week, you have inspired me!
zarelha- I have the same highest weight as my starting one, congrats on your success, and I'm highly impressed with your 8 week long track record of healthy living, that's amazing
buffles- congrats on the 129 mark! (i hate going out on diets too, alcohol is so damn high in cals)
doing ok here, but feeling chocoalte cravings kicking in, the south beach diet people make a meal replacement bar that is chocolate and i think that fixed it....
going on vacation on monday, to visit my family, by beaches, extrememly nervous, don't have a suit that fits me, and still about 9 pounds above my goal weight.... it will definitely be challenging staying on my diet and exercise plan during vacation, BUT, I can do it!
I plan to contract out the services of my boyfriend to motivate me when I lack the willpower to just say no to that snack food, and ask him to ask me daily what exercise I have gotten in (if i get really brave, i will ask him to run with me, but i usually do around 9-10 min miles or so, and he is a division one college athlete...)
Anyway, back to saturday, hope everyone has a healthy, happy, enjoyable, relaxing weekend!

Buffles, contrats!!!
I can't WAIT to break 130!! (Maybe my scale is broken?) :D
dt78, I will check out the "I Can't Believe.." spray! Thanks! I got the Butter Buds and it tasted pretty ok on broccoli, not so great on popcorn.
