juliya--maybe you're just carrying lots of muscle? Or maybe your metabolism is screwed up from all that restrictive calorie counting. Stick with your higher calorie levels :)

So I think that Monday weigh in is going to end up being a problem. LoL  I tend to spend Sunday nights at my bfs because he lives closer to my job than I do and I get more sleep if I sleep at his place. But he doesn't have a scale. So I think I'm going to have to just weigh in on Tuesdays since we both spend Monday night at my place since he has class on Tuesday and the university is on the way to work from my house (he doesn't have a car at the moment). So... unless I start toting around my scale (not going to happen I don't want to look THAT obsessed) I'm going to have to delay weigh ins until Tuesday. 

I hope I do okay. I feel really full right now and bloated but I had soup a grilled cheese sandwich and some tea for dinner. So I just have a lot in my stomach. Blah. But I won't be eating much else tonight except maybe some mroe tea this evening. 

 right now I'm going to find a way to get rid of this nasty migraine I've got coming on.    

I was busy with work so could not put down my weight here....

i am now at 121.6...wohoo..  1.6 to goo :)

Ha, halloskinny, I was up to 111 the next day :) must be something to do with my setpoint, hehe.

5000thangel, I love grilled cheese when the weather turns chilly.  I finally tried the Veggie Slices brand.  I was kind of resistant because I'm not vegan and they have 2.5 grams of fat per slice (only 35 calories though).  Anyway they are yummy and melt up really nice!  So now I have 3 different flavours.

Also I'm going well on my water again.  Back up to 12 cups a day or more.  It might be because it's been a bit hot and smokey here, instead of cold and cloudy.  I've got a schedule in place now so it's easier to stick to it.

Madhu, congrats on the weight loss!!

I'm just recovering from a horrible cold, can't wait for it to go completely!

Haven't really been losing any weight, the scale seems stuck at 123lbs and refuses to move. I'm just going to find ways of kick starting my metabolism or just take a break for awhile then restart. I bought some new clothes in a UK 6 (US 2) and they fit so some weight must be off, sometimes it's hard to see that you have lost weight even though people tell you that you have and your clothes are baggy.
Tomorrow is weigh in day!  I've been doing ok, this week.  I seem to be stuck around 128, though.  I'm hoping to get that motivation back and get through Halloween (I have four kids and we've been to tons of parties and I just bought Halloween candy).  I need to drink my water and get through this.

I'm still sitting between 134 and 136lbs (20 to go...still).   Unfortunately my running/lifting partner (my fiance') needed a break from working out, due to his knee hurting and just general muscle fatigue.  I however decided (since I'm not running alone out here) that I'd find another way to keep my cardio up, and I picked up a tae bo video.

So far so good :D

Hmm, 110 this morning. Which is good because yesterday I was 108.5. I still haven't got the maintenance thingy down. But I had a nice break for counting calories yesterday!
127 this morning, which I'm happy with.  It's within the healthy range for me.  I'd still like to lose about 7 more pounds to be well within normal.
I am also stuck, since I am trying to eat more I even put on 2 pounds :( I wonder how long it's gonna take my body to readjust...

I don't know what my weight is - I'll find out tomorrow because didn't have a scale this morning...BUT I did put on a pair of pants yesterday that I haven't worn in about a year...and they FIT! :O They were a size 5!! I haven't worn a 5 in I don't know how long (damn thighs)!!! I'm excited!!: )

 

EDIT: Okay so toady I weigh in at 134.5.  I'm gettign frustrated because I keep bouncing in the 133 and 134 range and can't seem to get below that. However I'm actually wondering if it's possible that I'm not eating enough?? 

I haven't been logging my food in lately because I've been so busy I can barely get online to do more than check my email, but I'm eating about the same as before. A friend said that maybe I need to up my calories to get myself to lose weight when she realized that by upping her calories she got off her plataue (sp?) and managed to lose again. 

When I checked the tools it says that for light exercise I need about 1400 a day. I work out 3 times a week, and when I'm teaching I do walk around the room during class, and I am standing about 1/3 of the time. I teach sitting down because my mentor teacher has the thing set up to be on a table because she can't stand for more than about 30 minutes at a time. But even so - I try to walk around the room during the daily warmups, quizzes, and during homework time (all in all about 30 minutes of the 90 minute class). 

I've been basing everything on a 1200 calorie day - because I based it on being sedentery. Would I be considered light activity instead? Or would you say light some days and sedentery others? I feel sedentary on the days I don't work out. 

 Grrr... I just want to get back to losing again!!

Angel - it's tough when you get busy.  I've been doing that too lately.  I get busy and then forget to log what I ate.  I find on those days when I'm not around a computer, it works to jot down what I ate.  I just keep a little piece of paper handy with what I've eaten for the day.  I will put down what I think the calories are, if I remember, so that I have an idea of what I've eaten. 

I've found that on some of those days when I don't keep track and then try to remember at the end of the day, it's just too hard to do.  Sometimes I'll start to remember all these little things I ate that weren't rally good for me too and those really add up!
Same thing :( Stuck at 135 and once I start eating more - I start gaining... So I am back to 1200. I think I want to try not eating carbs for couple of weeks and see if that helps to get my weight moving. So I'll try to eat mostly protein, dairy and green veggies - that worked for me in the past to keep water retention off.
juliya - you just gotta be careful cutting out carbs because once you start eating them again if you're not careful you'll just gain back all the weight you lost.

I talked to a nutritionist at our gym today and he gave me even a better idea, try switching the ratio every day. So one day high protein-low carb (40-30-30) and the next day high carb-low fat (60-20-20) with the same calorie intake overall. I also signed up for a weight loss challenge so maybe that'll help me stay motivated :)

I have a love, hate relationship with the holiday season.  I love Halloween with my kids and my kids love it, but I hate all that candy that is in our house right now!  And I have some that is for my sons birthday party favors/pinata for tomorrow too.  I need to get back on track.  I weighed 126 at the beginning of this week and this morning I weighed 128.  I know it just can't be that I gained a full two pounds.  Hopefully some of that is water, but I feel horrible and bloated.  Ugghh!!!!  I need some motivation again!

Today I'm going to drink my water, clean my house, and stay away from the junk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Madhu, congratulations on reaching your goal!! I'm thinking it was 120, so you broke right through to 119 :) That's fantastic. Sorry I haven't been posting much on this thread.

This month I'm doing the Roll-Call Exercise Challenge, so only keeping track of total minutes exercised. My goal is 2000 minutes for November. Other than that, I continue to drink lots of water, eat fairly healthy (I did have a bit of Halloween candy), and am working on maintaining. I don't think I'm obsessing with what I eat, but I do still use the food log. I'm eating about 1,800 calories daily.
