Hi everyone!  I am new to CC and have made the New Year's Resolution to lose weight!

I am a 37 year old female, 5'5" at 179!  I am the mother of two teenagers, 16 and 14.  I work full time, go to college and spend most of my time going to my kids sporting events.

I have made every excuse in te world for not losing weight, and I am done!!!  I want to lose 44 lbs and get down to a healthy 135!  I am not trying to drop this weight over night, but over the next year.

I am looking for other ladies over 30 that would like to support each other in meeting their goals in 2008!!

 Please let me know!!!

Good job Hatcher!!!!!!!!!

Down to 194.6.  Still not exercising fighting a bad sinus infection and just feel wore out.  Maybe by next week when I am feeling better.  The bright side of this is that I don't feel like eating too much.  Got to go just thought I would pop in.

Hi everyone!  Oh my, it has been ages since I've been on.  We have moved over to the UK, have been here 3 months now and still adjusting to everything.

We got all of our stuff and most of the dust has settled, so I am ready to get back to it!  I'm still trying to get the last 15 pounds off which will bring me down to 145 pounds.

It seems like everyone is doing great!  Let's kick some butt Wink

Hi everyone! I am glad to see you all back and to be back myself. I have been slowly putting weight back on and it needs to stop. I tried putting my new favorite jeans on the other day and it was not pretty. I am so ready to turn that back around. I don't even want to weigh myself but the other day I was at 225 so I have put 16 pounds on since my lowest weight of 209. I am hoping that Spring will help motivate me to get back at it. Although, it's snowing here again today, soon it will actually look like Spring. :) I really got away from calorie counting and with my hubby home and starting a business I have pushed the gym to the side. I have realized though how much better I feel (energy, etc.) when I am exercising and eating right. I am so glad all of you are back and we can help motivate each other.

Hatcher - Sorry to hear about your daughter. I will keep her in my prayers. Also, congrats on the new man! ;)

Jasmine: I am sorry you having to go through so much with your allergies and meds. I will keep you in my prayers as well.

Trixie - Congrats on your move. Glad to see you back here. :)

I will keep my weigh in day as Wednesdays.

Great to see you all here - Good luck today and keep it up!

Hi everyone! I hope everyone is doing good. Good here. I have been working out at home this week. Sticking to my calories has been tough but I am working on it. Well, it's weigh in day so here goes...

Not sure what last week was but this week I am at 225.8. I can't wait to see that number get lower. :)

Have a great day and keep up the good work!

Trixie Hope you enjoy your new home!  They say those last few pounds are the tough ones.  Good luck to you.

Christie  Glad to see someone sticking to their calories! Hope you lost some weight this week!

I am on the mend here had a bad sinus infection but that is better now.  I have been finding it so difficult to watch my cals.  It sure don't help when my husband keeps buying Easter candy.  He must be the devil! LOL  I am at 198 again :( I can't get into most of my pants I feel like I should have goodyear on my body!!  I just need to stay tough I know I can do it.  I must not stray for everytime I stop using the web sight and not posting what I eat I fall down.  That is it I will do it!!  I don't want to be this way!!  HELP!!

Sorry for the rant I needed to do that

Lets do it ladies!!!!!!!!

Thanks ladies =).   We happened to move here just as they were getting their worst winter in 18 years, so that has made the adjustment a little difficult.  No family, friends, barely any neighbors, so it's been kind of depressing.  The weather is starting to get better so hopefully that will help.  My boys are in school, so at least they've got other kids to be around.  I have become a huge Facebook addict, keeping in touch with everyone back home in  Virginia and our friends in Colorado as well as finding old high school friends.  Are you guys on FB too?

So, I just got off the elliptical, and I stepped it up to Level 5 for 35 minutes and ended up burning 45 more calories than I did at Level 1 for the same amount of time.  Is that the secret??

Christie, keep up your good work!  I know you can do it!!

Jasmine, glad you are feeling better!  My hubby does the same thing; there are so many sweets and treats to be had here in jolly olde England and don't get me started on "tea time" 'cos you just gotta have a biscuit or two to go along with it.  UGH!!!

We can do it!  Wooohoooo!!!!!!!!

Can you join you, ladies?? My name is Safina. I am 34. I joined CC in 2007 , lost a bunch of weight then gained some back.

I am 5'3" and 167lbs and want to be 140lbs. That is my short term goal for the summer.

I just need some support and I think this is a great support group.

Welcome Safina!! I had done the same now trying to lose it again and keep it off this time.

Trixie I am not on facebook might have to try that someday.  This is enough at this time since I might have to have hand surgery and then the computer might be tough.  Hoping the shots & braces work for me.

Getting ready to go work out.  I am starting to lose weight but I like my official weigh in to be on Friday.  I have to get so I can wear my summer shorts.  Right now I can't button them.  I went to wear a skirt yesterday and I could barely get in it let alone zip it up.  How Sad :(  But I will wear that stuff again!!  No more Easter candy bad husband bringing that stuff here.

Christie where are you??

Hi, I'm here still - I forgot to weigh in yesterday. It's been busy with the business and all. I don't have long to post because we're off to Brady's first t-ball game. But I did want to check in.

Last week: 225.8

This week: 223

Yay! 2.8lbs back in the right direction!

trixie - hang in there - having been a military wife I know how it is to start over and not have anyone around you know. It will get better. I am on facebook let me know how and I will add you :)

Welcome Safina!

Jasmine: I ripped the belt loops on my favorite jeans (a great sign to get back to the gym, huh?) LOL :) We're back at it now so it will get better. I am sorry you are having to go through all of that with the allergies and surgery.

Well, I have to get going but I will try to get back here tomorrow. Talk to you soon - keep up the good work!

Christie guess you beat me this week in the weight loss good going girl!  Hope all is well with the business.

Happy Easter to all.

Well I got through Easter with no weight gain!!!!!!!!!!!

Now to just lose some this week.

Hope everyone is well.

Hi everyone! I hope everyone is doing good. Good here. It's weigh in day so here goes:

Last week: 223

This week: 222.8

LOL - .02lbs but at least it is in the right direction - especially with Easter candy all over the place. :) I haven't been so great about working out because of business stuff but I have been trying to cut calories at a minimum by 500 and it seems to be helping - just not as fast as I would like so I want to step it up when I officially open my doors. Hopefully, I will be able to create a more regular schedule that way. :) I have to get going.

Jasmine: Congrats on your weight loss!

Keep up the good work everyone!

Christie

Good Work Christie!!  Every little bit counts and it is a step in the right direction.

The doc finished all the tests on my hands so I will be setting up times for hand surgery soon.  They plan on doing them 2 weeks apart. Guess i better get as much work done around here as I can.  I will weigh in on Friday.

Well here goes my day to weigh in

last week  195.8

this week 194.2

total loss 1.6!!  So excited and during a holiday week!!

Hello everyone!

My name is Kerri and I am new to CC. I will be 35 in two weeks, I started here two days ago and enjoying counting I have never gone this route when trying to lose weight before.  I am 5'7 and 165 lbs and need to get 20 lbs off!

I am trying to stay under 1,500 cals for the day.

Do you have any helpful tips that keep you going???

Welcome Kerri!

The best tip I have is to keep counting.  I have found that when I stop that is when I fail.  I guess calorie counting has to be a way of life.

GOOD LUCK

Thank you... Do you find it is easier to to keep a journal through the day, then add it to the site or plan on the site and eat that for the day???

I find it hard to keep getting on the computer to log through out the day.... Like most moms its had to find those extra minutes....

Any thoughts???

Early on I logged on more but as I got to know how many cals in different items I would then keep a log.  I kind of do both depending on what is working for me.  i will say it helps me to log on at least once a day it keeps me in line.

Just remember to count count count that is what makes it work.  As soon as you stop doing that it all seems to go down the drain.  I do also find it helpful to have one cheat day every other week.  On that day I have what i want and if I go over in cals no big deal.  I think that kind of helps fool your body and keeps the metabolism up.  I did read somewhere that it is good to keep changing the amount of cals you eat so your body does a better job burning them.  And a cheat day keeps me from craving everyday.

Thanks for the great tips... I will try that out! Thank you so much!

Happy Monday everyone.  Not much to say today.  Trying to get motivated here.  Must be the rain & gray sky that has me in a slump today.  I need summer to get here
