Ladies over 30 looking to help each other
Hi everyone! I am new to CC and have made the New Year's Resolution to lose weight!
I am a 37 year old female, 5'5" at 179! I am the mother of two teenagers, 16 and 14. I work full time, go to college and spend most of my time going to my kids sporting events.
I have made every excuse in te world for not losing weight, and I am done!!! I want to lose 44 lbs and get down to a healthy 135! I am not trying to drop this weight over night, but over the next year.
I am looking for other ladies over 30 that would like to support each other in meeting their goals in 2008!!
Please let me know!!!
Hi everyone! I hope everyone is doing good. I am sorry I have been MIA for the last couple of weeks. I have been so busy trying to do stuff for the school, the business, and the kids I haven't had time to even think about entering calories. I really do need to make the time though because I eat so badly when I am not keeping track of it. I haven't weighed myself recently because I don't want to know what has happened over the last couple of weeks. I will have to weigh on Wednesday though so I better start talking myself into it now. :) I have to go pick up my daughter but I wanted to check in really quick and see how everyone is doing. I hope you are all doing great!

It is best to make time. Hope all is well with the business. Well I am down to 187 now!! Feels good to be in the 180's!!
Hello to all on this thread...
I have a quick question that I haven't found the answer for anywhere else. Do you do a lot of estimating of calories on food that you make? For example, meatballs. I basically threw several items together using 92% hamburger, 1 egg, bread crumbs, garlic and seasonings. But how do I figure out what the calorie count is on one meatball? Or one serving? I've come up against this also while trying to input a burrito I made, and ended up estimating a lot of it.
Any ideas that could help?
enter the ingredients in the recipe area under new recipes and the number of servings. Save the recipe to use when you make this item again.
Hi everyone! I am really trying to make it on here but it has been a struggle lately. I am hoping that summer will help with not having to take the kids to school. I used to do this first thing in the am and plan my day. I have been going to the gym and trying my best to limit the calories I take in but even that has been hard to be consistent. It has been hard to get a routine down with everyone's schedules and trying to build up business but I am working on it. Watching the Biggest Loser finale helped motivate me because I want to finally lose all of my weight so I can eat a normal amount of calories and just to feel good and healthy. :) I haven't weighed myself in a few days but I had gotten back up to 227 but was down to 225 the other day so at least I am moving in the right direction again and hopefully for good.
Jasmine: Congrats on getting into the 180s!
Pattycov: I usually enter each ingredient (I just learned something new and cool from Jasmine) for the most part. Sometimes if I make something like cookies I will look up something similar and see if the calories sound close and select that. Especially if there are a ton of ingredients. But, then you risk going over your calories so I try not to do it too often. sidenote: Cooking Light has great recipes and they include the calorie count, etc with the recipe. :)
Okay, so tomorrow is my weigh in day and I have a field trip to go to so I may not be on tomorrow. But, I will be on Thursday then. I hope. :)
Talk to you soon and keep up the good work
