Hi everyone, i am very new(signed up a few hours ago) to this support group.
thx a lot, kimchilicious, i decided to sign up after reading your post. You have inspired me to not give up myself. I have been struggling with weight problems after i quit swimming. I used to have a heavy meal after my night training session. I found it really hard to quit that habbit. Eventually i got into binging everytime i blew my diet. I was on a yo-yo diet for about 2 years now, i really wanted to change, but it is so much harder than what i have thought. Today i have made up my mind to change forever. I am willing to give up my favourite food just to look and the most important to feel good.

Holy Cow! We ARE alike... You and me, can we be buddies? I'd like to really keep updated. Haha, it's tough huh? 145 looks so great on taller girls -___-;
sure we ca be buddies odieluv20. haha.
yeah, we seriously need a weigh in. I am the only one stuggling with weight in my family, my family members are so not supportive, they luv to eat my favourite food in front of me. I hate that sooo much. i thk this why my diet is always sabotaged.
Another problem is i am obsessed with baking. i love baking so much. everytime i bake i will end up finish them on my own. I cant help it, it is the only thg i like to do when im bored... any advice?
hey no worries. I binged yesterday too. argh. starting over again now.
Im in!
height: 5'11
current wt: 183lb
goal wt: 150lb
cal intake: 1100cal per day
amt of exercise: at least 30mins walking a day, plus 2x1 hour sessions of hard cardio/resistance with a trainer per week.
I agree we all need a particular weigh in day each week! That way we can stay committed with the help of the group. My problem is that when I start to focus of eating 'healthy' my calorie intake drops WAY low, I have to concentrate on eating more than 1000cal. Then i get fed up with always having to worry about making sure im eating enough of the right things that I just start to eat whatever again. Its ridiculous! Clearly I need help!
arggghhh!! not again. I will stress out and end up binging everytime i worry about my calorie intake. I used to count calories, but then i will be obsessed about what i put into my mouth. Once i ate more than what i should, i will end up binging. haizzz.
I have another problem. I am an asian, and i find it hard to track my calorie intake as i can't find the food i eat in cc. So i think i will just track my calories burned and get support frm you guys!!!![]()
hey i'm asian too. which country are u from?
i doubt u have heard of it. lol....
Anyway, i am frm Malaysia. nice to meet u all. Didn't u find it difficult to track for Asian food in CC?
tt's quite true. i just use the equivalents. like for food like noodles, just search sth similar in CC to replace it. i doubt there'e much of a diff
hey yeah im really strugglin with myself at the minute. goin thru real sefl pity and self hate issues. desperate to get bk on track.
what day are we goin to set to weigh then? Monday? That way u gotta be good at the weekend too lol?
wish i was as young n as skinny as u too lol....im not even tall, just extremely fat lol
I find that I like to weigh in on Friday's. That way I don't feel bad about having a glass of wine while I'm out with friends during the weekend. Is that okay?
Hey girls, im Dana. Im a binger too, it sucks. I always feel like theres no point to eating healthy after a binge, especially if its early in the day. Its like the rest of the day is shot. I did that earlier today and normally i would get really depressed, but this time im okay. I didnt go way overboard. Anyway, this motivational group was a great idea! Here are my stats:
age: 20
height: 5'4
current wt: 145 (but i weigh in on fridays so we'll see!)
goal wt: 115
cal intake: depends, but i try for 1200 (its hard to make myself eat that much when im counting)
amt of exercise: varies, but i try for every other day (been way behind lately though)
Alright, so good luck to everyone! Hopefully this will be an amazing experience!
Hello All! It sounds like I have a lot in common with quite a few of you! I have hit a plateau, which really really sucks. In 2008 I lost 50 lbs, then I went on vacation in Feb of this year and didn't really watch my weight and gained 10 back, which I have now lost again (once I made myself get back on track), so I'm looking to lose that other 30! My small goal right now is to get to 141, evidently that's the heaviest I can be and be at a healthy bmi. Not sure how accurate that is, but it would be wonderful to see that number, especiall after seeing my CW for close to a year now ![]()
age: 24
height: 5'3"
current wt: 155
goal wt: 125
cal intake: 1200. I noticed that few of you are having the same trouble I am! I am watching what I am eating, and I tend to go under that amount because of it! The thing is I never feel like I'm starving myself, and I find it's harder at this point to get up to that calorie mark, then it was to get below it!
amt of exercise: At least an hour 3-4 times a week. I also play softball once a week for around 2 hours.
I'm game. I don't need to lose 30 pounds but I like that this is a support group for people around my age which is awesome.
height: 5'4
current wt: 120
goal wt: 110 (although I would be extremely happy to be 115 again)
cal intake: about 1000-1100 ( I had my RMR measured and I burn bout 1000 doing nothing because I'm small and in a healthy weight range already. Just notice my jeans are tighter, flabby arms, and no more abs :(
amount of exercise: 60 minutes in gym hopefully 5 days a week. I know I can definitely do 3 days just my schedule is crazy for work so 5 times a week doesn't always happen. Combo of crosstrainer elliptical and treadmill. Both doing intervals. Still working on how to put in weight training. I even hired a personal trainer but am buying out of my contract because everything he's teaching me I already know so it makes no sense to pay someone when I know what I'm doing. Always wanted one so don't regret it, just not needed I guess :-). I estimate I burn bout 500 at the gym when I go 5 days a week so I have a deficit without starving my body.
Which foods are high in both fat and calories?
Foods that are high in both healthy fat and calories are all nuts, nut butters, seeds such as sunflower seeds, oily fish (salmon, sardines... Read more
