Ladies: Do You Weigh More Than Your Significant Other?
If so, does he know how much you weigh?
My wonderful boyfriend and I have been together for almost four years now. When we first started dating I was 40 pounds lighter than I am now. He's 6'2" and at that time weighed around 225 and I'm 5'9" and weighed about 215 (but I'm evenly proportioned and hide my weight pretty well). However, over the course of our relationship I had packed on about 55 pounds (but have since lost 15). So currently he's down to 215 and I'm at 255. I've told him that my weight is classified information and I always sneak on the scale when he's not home or in the other room. He supports my weight loss efforts and even if I told him my weight he wouldn't think any less of me. I'm mortified that I weigh more than most men, so I just can't bring myself to do it!
So how about the rest of you out there?
It's just numers Right!
I am lighter than mine but that doesn't go for much.
My husband is 5'10" and 158 and I am 5'4" and 185, when we started dating he was 150 and I was 165. He knows how much I weight because I bitch about it sometimes.
I used to weigh a lot more than my husband. When I started losing weight, that was actually one of my sub-goals, and when I thought I was close I sneakily asked him how much he weighed.
So when I finally got there, I told him I finally weighed less than he did! And found out he'd fibbed just a little bit and actually weighed more! Ooooh, so mad, I could have finished that goal sooner!
But I certainly didn't tell him how much I weighed, oh heavens no. Maybe now I would.
edit for spelling
I used to, but am thrilled to say I don't anymore. I used to be 5'6 and topped out at about 240. He's 5'10 and about 175. I am now 13 pounds (162), and counting, lighter than him.
He doesnt know what I weigh, because I dont know for sure what I weigh either, but I am certainly weigh a lot less that him. Hes in really good shape and loves working out- so it keeps me in line. He can bench me which always makes him feel good about himself and me feel good about myself as well lol...gotta love that.
Alle: Wow, that's awesome! You look great and congrats on your engagement.
So now that you're lighter than him did you reveal your all-time highest weight or is that one going to the grave? LOL
Been married 3 1/2 years, hubby has always known my weight and supported me no matter what I want to do: If I want to stay the same weight or lose...He's at a healthy weight but likes to step on the scale to keep himself in line, so every morning we let each other know how much we weigh ...I used to keep my information classified but then just found it stupid, he didn't marry me for the number on the scale and won't divorce me for it either
I have....my first boyfriend I weighed quite a bit more then him. He was 5'7 and 110 pounds I swear he could eat ANYTHING and not gain. He was so skinny it drove me crazy. Haha. At that time I was about 116-125 at 5'3.
When I first met my fiance' I weighed less then him I was 115 pounds and he was about 170 at 5'9. However, about a year ago I went on a binge spree and was 163 pounds and due to personal issues my guy got down to 140. He has now gained weight and is about 180 and I've been losing in the 130's now. (still got about 25 pounds to lose. :/) Either way though, my man doesn't care how much I weigh and every weight he has seen me at he tells me I'm beautiful everyday. :)
My first bf weighed the same as me (150lb), the others it never came up, but I suspect we were at least close. Current bf is the first tallest, and definitely heavier one, 6'0 and 180-190 (I forget).
I used to, and I'm shorter than him. Now that I've lost weight and he's gained weight, he can wear my old pants and I can wear his old pants.
I did, and he knew. I weigh the same as he does, right now. I kept telling him my goal was to weigh less than he did, and I managed... Only for a while.
He's about 6" and 154 lbs or less, and I'm 5'2" and was 176 lbs... I got down to 143 lbs but blew it and now I'm 149 lbs. I'd LOVE to get down to 125 lbs or so... But I'm afraid I'm going to have to chop parts off my body to achieve that. ;)
He's supportive only because it means so much to me and he knows it. He says he loves me just the way I am, and likes how I look but I don't agree with him or anyone who says so and I want to agree so badly, so... We'll see how it goes.

Thank you! He wouldn't really care - if I told him he'd probably say 'and your point is..?'
When we first met I was scared my weight would be an issue, but it never was with him. That's one of the many reasons why he's a keeper ;)
Until I started losing and using CC, I didn't quite know my weight. I had gone to the dr the month before I started and knew cause of that. Anyway, I didn't tell him until I started losing, and I knew he was less than I am despite his extra 6 inches. Now I tell him on my weekly weigh in. He's very much a supporter and makes me feel great if I lose or gain. He's all about healthy too. He doesn't really care too much.
It wound up being a big deal for me and not one for him. He was like, okay. I weigh this much and that's your response? lol...no big deal.
My boyfriend and I started dating when I was quite a bit heavier. I don't even think he's noticed.
His BMI is over 50, mine is currently 26.
i definately weight more than my bf and he doesn't know exactly what i weigh. i ask him what he thinks i weigh and he guesses in the 180 - 190 range when i actually weight 200 (
) but i guess because i'm top heavy he assumes most of the weight is there plus my body type is thick so i have thick thighs and legs so everything is proportioned but i won't ever tell him if he is right or not, maybe when i get to my goal weight ![]()
i weigh about 40 lbs more than my guy. i'm 220ish, he's 180ish. he's known since the first time we talked. he's been oddly/comfortingly upfront about my weight, since he's slim and well-built, and i'm working on it. he's not mean, he doesn't put me down. he loves my body more than i do!
but he's always known i'm working on losing this weight, so he works out with me as often as he can, which is sweet.
edit: he also knows my highest weight (320). when i told him, he really couldn't believe it.
Not for the past year! YAY finally I can brag
I'm hovering around 128-129 lbs (5'2") while hubby is at abt 145 lbs (5'6") ; He's gained bit lately but I've been under his weight for a year already!
I don't weigh more than my bf but I feel like i do because he is soo fricken skinny. He's like 6' 3' and 180. I am 5'8" and 145.
I weigh more than my boyfriend, but I'm really hoping that changes in the near future!
My bf is about 6'3" and 210lbs, I'm 5'7" and 235lbs.
I'm not sure that he knows that I weigh more than him, but I'm sure he suspects. He knows I'm trying to lose weight and is very supportive (almost to the point of being annoying), but I've never actually told him the number. I don't think I'll actually tell him until I weigh less than him. Or maybe the day that he tries to pick me up (which he tries all the time to my horror) and I feel like I'm light enough to let him, then I'll tell him. Until then, it's my little secret. I'm also mortified that I weigh more than men and also just can't bring myself to do it (until I weigh less than him). A girl's gotta have her secrets sometimes, right?!
