5"5 ladies - what's your goal weight?

I'm 144, my goal is 132. I have a pretty big bone structure so I don't think the 120's would work for me.

How about you?

I'm small boned and currently at 141 (started at 150).  I want to make it down to 120 - but really anywhere in the 120's would make me happy.  I was there a few years ago and I think that is when I felt my healthiest.

Hey Sarah

I'm 147 , my goal is 130....same with big bones:)...I don't want to be too skinny but 130 is my dream waiting to became reality:), at the moment I'm nursing my daughter Sarah:) so I can't cut back yet:))God bless

I'm an inch shorter (5'4) but I'm currently at 140 and pretty happy with that.  I wouldn't mind getting down into the low 130s.  The 120s wouldn't work for me as I have a decent amount of muscle (though am not bulky).

I'm only 5'4", but I feel your pain on bone structure - I had my body composition done once, and it turns out that if I didn't have any fat on me at all - if I were just bones, muscle and internal organs - I'd still weigh about 125 lbs!

Having said that, my goal is in the 140's range, since that's where I think I look my best.

I am 5'4,5 .. I've been fluctuating between 126-129 pounds..my goal weight is 118 pounds..maybe 120 pounds..

I'm a teensy bit taller (somewhere between 5'5.5 and 5'6), and I'm aiming to drop back down to 120. My doctor and I both think this is a healthy weight for me considering my small frame size, and also due to the fact that my endocrine disorder showed the least amount of symptoms at this weight.

I'm 5'4" currently at 225 (started at 244) my goal right now is 140, with a waist circumference of 34".  Once I reach that goal I'll figure out if I want to lose anymore but at least I'll know I don't need to lose anymore.

peaceapple - what body shape are you? I'm 144 and my waist is 27.5", so unless you're an extreme apple shape I imagine at 140 lbs your waist will be smaller than 34"

I'm an apple,  I have no idea what my waist size would be 140 actually.  I haven't weighed 140 since I was in 6th or 7th grade!

Right now I'm at 225 and 44" around the waist so I got like 10 inches and 80 lbs to go.  I just got a balance ball and abs and core workout dvd so I'm gonna see if that helps.

The reason I cited the 140 and 34" is that means I'd be healthy.  I just want to be healthy for the first time....ever.

I'm 5'5", medium to large frame, and I'm currently maintaining, with my weight fluctuating between 137 - 142.  I do a lot of weightlifting and am fairly muscular, which has actually translated into smaller clothes sizes without having to lose any more weight.  This is a happy weight for me, I wouldn't want to go any lower.

My first goal is 150.  I started at 220.   I'll see where I'm at when I get there.  My next goal may be 135.  I made it down to that by doing weight watchers in high school (I've been overweight all of my life) but I only sustained it about a year.  I'm not sure I could even get that low again.  Not sure I want to.

We'll see.

We're all different but, for reference, I am also the an apple (the appliest apple that ever appled, I think some days) and I hit the 34" mark at 165.  At 140, I'm down to 30".

OOOOOO that's an exciting thought.  Seems impossible at teh moment yet still exciting

Well, I started with a 37.5" waist at just under 180 pounds and I did find that the waist was where the inches dropped off first - simply because that's where there was so much excess fat.  It took quite a while to see significant losses from my bust - which is the other place my body likes to put fat.

Also, I never went in for abs workouts.  As long as you're burning the calories, the fat'll come off.  Abs workouts don't take it off the stomach any faster.  So, you're really better off doing whole-body workouts since they'll burn more calories.  Once you get skinny and there's an actual chance of seeing abs, then it becomes something to think about.  Until then, lots of other exercises will work on your core at the same time as the rest of your body.  And, if you really feel like you have a weak core, planks are the ultimate core strengthener.  *Way* more effective than crunches and stuff like that.

I am measured as 5'5 sometimes 5'6, and I started at 162, and my lowest in adult form was 133 - and I was bony at the weight. I would be happy if I got down to the 140s, but I'll settle for 150 if I can even get back down there... I feel as if my body has set itself to 159 and I can't really get lower than that even if I go to aquafit 3 or 4 times a week. I am now 43 and I think the metabolism has totally slowed itself right down. The last noticeable change was at 36, it slowed down a lot at that age, now, another step slower... :-(

I'm 5'4'' and my current weight is 150. I'd like to get to 140, I don't want to be ultra thin. I'm curvy and I want to keep some of that! Kiss
