lady question...
Just wondering if you ladies get in increase in weight during that time of the month cause we retain water or something, or is just because some of us eat more around that time
I know stupid question
My weight usually stays the same the week before and the week of my period. When it's over it goes down again.
a lot of women gain; I fluctuated 1 or 2 lbs but stayed about the same, and where most drop off the extra weight + a pound or two at the end, mine continued to stay the same.
also, you burn a couple hundred more calories during that time so its OK to eat a little more than usual.
I was up 2 pounds the week before my period. Yesterday was my last day and I've already dropped 1 of them.
I'm usually a pound or two heavier, but some women can be very bloated and be like 5# more than usual. You'll be back to your normal weight when it ends (assuming you didn't eat 10 bars of chocolate....
)
As long as you're eating for maintenance/loss, don't worry about what the scale says.
I can not lose weight the week before, and typically gain a lb or two week of. I weigh myself monthly largely due to this frustration : ) Since I still average losing 1 to 2 lbs per week (but I only actually lose weight two weeks out of the month.)
