A tasty dessert or side dish. We modified the recipe replacing butter with oil, and sugar with honey. We reduced the fat content by replacing nuts with GoLean Crunch cereal. To make the dish more nutritious, we used whole wheat flour. Overall, sweet potatoes provide many important nutrients like vitamins A and C, iron and lots of fiber! This is a dessert and should be eaten sparingly due to its high fat and sugar content. Sweet potato casserole is a traditional Thanksgiving dish, but it is tasty and can be eaten with practically anything, hot or cold. It can serve any number of people, but portions should be kept small.
