Lap swimming

Hi everyone...if you are swimming laps, how do know how many meters you are swimming? I am swimming in the pool at the Y, so I am assuming it is an average size?

I just want a way to track it to make some swimming goals for myself! Any help would be appreciated!

If it's not an olympic size pool its 25 meters if it is an olympic size pool it's 50 meters, usually it's not an olympic size

You can always ask some one at the pool (or checkout their website if they have one).

ask someone at the front desk or whatever, they'd be happy to tell you. im sure anyway.

Well make sure you know whether or not the pool is in meters or yards, like the pool I swim in is a 25 yard pool, where there are 25m, and 50m pools out there.
