I am a petite 5'1" 105 lbs and unfortunately out of shape & flabby. Since I lost 30 lbs in 2007 with minimal exercise, I have some looser type skin ... it's nothing major or significant just the tone of the skin in my arms isn't what it used to be when I was heavier.
I could use the motivation, not necessarily to lose weight but rather to tone up. If I don't tone up, I wouldn't mind losing 3-5 lbs to be back where I was a few months ago. FYI, I bought a wedding dress in December when I was 100 lbs after reaching my goal so being that I have gained 5 lbs since the holidays isn't a good thing, LOL!
In any case, I mainly want to maintain my weight at or around where I am now and tone up, maybe lose a lb or two ...
I'm in: I'm 5'1", 29, SW: 122/ CW: 119-120/ GW: 118
Mostly, I want to tone up for my wedding on May 10th. I tried on my dress this week-end and it fits beautifully(very happy about it)!
When I did my fitness check last week, the trainer told me that I should be at 119 with BF% around 20-22%. I would need to lose 6 lbs of fat and gain 4 pounds of muscle. Would like to do so before April 27th.
Checks in on mondays and thursdays are good for me!

I'm in a similar situation to nycgirl. My "official" goal weight was 135, and I reached it, but I definitely have some loose skin I'd like to get rid of...as well as maybe shedding 2-3 more pounds in the process.
Since reaching my goal weight, I kind of lost my motivation to be active and though I'm eating within my calorie range for maintenance, my choices have been poor as of late (too much sodium).
So, I believe having a goal again will help me get back my motivation. I'm in!
SW: 135
CW: 137 (I think I went up do to switching to maintenance calorie amount)
GW: 132-133 ish and better toned legs (especially above my knees)

Congrats lfaine for making it into the gym this morning! I made it to the gym myself the past two nights. Yay! It felt great to be doing it full force again. Good luck to everyone!

Checking in...I weighed in at 135 on Friday. I was visiting friends this weekend and ate like a pig, so I might have gone up a pound, lol. But my goal this week is to hit the gym Tues, Wed, Thurs. I'm not going to eat back my calories on those days. Hopefully I'll even out by my Friday weigh-in. Maintaining is getting easier! Hope everyone had a good weekend! :)

Well it's that time, Thursday morning! I'm doing great, although I haven't weighed myself this week. #1 because I didn't eat very well a couple of days ago and #2 Aunt Flow came to visit for a few days :)
I'm feeling confident about this weight loss though. I've picked up my workout routine and am finally eating my BMR. For the longest time I was eating 1200 because that's what CC recommended and because I had the mentality that the less I eat, the more I lose! Not!
I think the main thing that I'll need support with is not having a cheat day yet. I know that they're not a bad thing, but I promised myself that I won't have a cheat/free day until I reach my goal weight. So you all have to help me with that!
Well, I decided today I actually need to lose ten pounds.
With that said, do any of you lose a pound a week? Or is it more like half a pound?? If I lose half a lb a week, I'm lucky, usually.
Hey mharsch - good for you for working out and not letting it ruin the rest of your day. Don't let the 2 lbs bother you - as everyone says, it is likely from excess sodium.
I started really trying to lose a few pounds in January and the weight was coming off about 1-1.5 lbs per week. However, I have not lost a pound since mid-February. I'm seriously stuck at 126-127.5 lbs. I try not to let it get me down because every morning when I put my clothes on to get ready for work, they are loose. I just won't let myself buy too many new clothes until I get rid of least last few pounds. We can do this!
My big problem is I feel like I eat constantly - it is healthy food - fruits, etc. but I am going to try this next week to cut the snacks out so my body doesn't constantly feel like it needs to be fed. I'll let you know how it goes!
Good luck Lfaine! Hey, what are some things you like to snack on? I am getting so bored with my food! Seems like I eat the same stuff over and over (at least for breakfast, lunch & snacks). And thanks for the tip on tagging the thread!

My normals snacks include bananas, apples, and pears and sometimes I'll bring some raisins, dried cranberries and raw cashews from home. The dried fruits and nuts are the problem but I love them so much!
Anyone else have healthy snack ideas?
I've done okay on my no snacking today - just 1/2 banana around 3pm.
My favorite is no fat yogurt with hemp seed granola mixed in. Sometimes with blueberries on top. So good... ![]()

Hi everyone,
so I have no idea what happened to me this past week. My healthy eating habits seriously went down the drain minus about three days when I actually ate healthy.
I have no idea how much I weigh right now and I don't even want to know. Yesterday I finally got back on track, but I feel bloated and disgusting now, even though I've been eating good these past couple of days. I weighed in at 125 and I seriously feel like I'm at 130 now, but I won't weigh myself!
So I feel all you out there who have binged lately, why do we do this? I wish I never had this problem, but what can I do now except to move on and eat right. So my progress is I feel crappy because of the binging, but I will change it from today on. I'll give you a weigh in in a week :)
