It is great you are eating 2000 now Lucy, but you still need to get to 2500 or so if you're up for putting your metabolism into gear. If you are actually gaining on 2000 you have to ask yourself - if you gain on that, what will you maintain on? A healthy female averages about 2000 calories a day to maintain their weight, and you ought to have at LEAST that to maintain on too.
Also, the mental stress you're describing still tells me you ought to go speak to a doctor about inpatient or daypatient treatment. But do not feel belittled, your steps are still fantastic still.
i know how you feel! i am at 2000 as well and i am gaining on this too. but when i think about it i gained on 1300 a lb a week as well... not everyone needs to go to 2500 but lala does have a point. it does depend on your age and activity level and your health and your individual metabolism. we cant control what our metabolisms will do in the future... that would be nice wouldnt it. talk to a nutritionist about raising the cals... you may need to. i know if that theory is correct that i will do so... and some days i do. i was told to do 1800-2000 and i stick to 2000 and sometimes go over...last night i did 2500. i am gaining about 2 lbs a week and i do no physical activity at all but i would actually like to maintain on more.
anytime you need to talk... you can email me anytime.
i am proud of you girl!
Hi Lucy, wow! that's great !:D i feel proud hahaha
keep like this adn you'll see the results. And i absolutely agree with danamichael. for example my nutricionist gave a 1800 cal. diet :D and i keep trying to reach my goal.
But anyways, some junk food, cookies, etc .. once or twice a week is aaaalways good :D haha
dont get me wrong... some people need alot more!!!! it depends on your age and activity and health. 1800 is low to gain weight! i have medical issues

absolutely!
you think 1800 is low? hmm well that's whtat my nutricionist said ._. dude but anyways whe can't actually compare because i live in peru and maybe the food it's differente haha , maybe it have more calories.. i don't know (:
mss - sometimes nutritionists give their patients relatively low calorie diet plans because they don't want to 'frighten' the patient. it happened with me, because when I first started seeing a dietician, she gave me like a 1200 cal plan because I had been doing about 500-600 cals a day and I was INCREDIBLY upset about it. but then after a while, they increase it slowly so that the patient can get used to food again.
I'm doing 3000 cal now, but thats on my own will xD
yeah... i do not reccomend people to stick to low cal diets... we are trying to gain weight after all
