The last 5... I need a kick in the pants
I am currently 115 lbs, and want to get down to 110. at 5'3" I have a healthy BMI however want to be smaller, and toned. I know 110 isn't unreasonable, or unhealthy, but it would be in the 'lower' range. I am not looking to be any smaller than that - 110 is plenty small.
It has taken me almost 3 months however I have gone from 120 - 115 without too much effort and a lot of 'cheat' days. I have been out exercising and eating well ~5 days/week. The other two I usually mess up. :( I am working on getting better re: cheating, and trying to STICK TO THE PLAN.
Basic principles aside, is it going to be more difficult for me to lose because I am already a healthy BMI, etc? Has anyone accomplished a simelar goal with success? How stringent were you? How can I strive through this last 5?

Hey Heather, I am in the exact same boat as you. I am 5'2" and I started at 123 lbs in May. Currently I am at 119 lbs and my goal is 115, ultimately 113 toned lbs. Just like you I exercise and eat right about 5 days a week but when I go home on the weekends I screw up so bad!
I too was starting to think that my body is sort of refusing to go the extra pounds since it's already at a healthy weight. But I still want to reach my goal and need some advice too.

The problem is, we both know the answer. Don't mess up, exercise, and fight back against the evil weekend. One thing I found that helped was making weekend 'plans' and getting out of town. (I.e.: Spend an entire Saturday at a Nature Park, etc) or go camping. Getting out of the city always helps.
I would love to hear other suggestions though.
I am in the same boat too! I'm 5'6" and 125 but i want to be 120. I was 130 but I dropped the first 5 lbs pretty fast. Now I have noticed that my weight has stayed the same since I am strength training as well as diet and cardio. I think the weight that I am losing in fat, I am gaining in muscle... which is fine with me. Everything fits better now. But I do think that the last 5 lbs is the hardest to lose. I'd suggest increasing excercise to give you the final push. Good luck you two.
I'm having the same issue!! I went from 137 - 123 relatively quickly but the last few pounds don't want to come off!!! Keep with eating healthy and hopefully... eventually... they will slowly but surely drop! haha. goodluck!!!
This is so funny, I'm in the same boat too, I'm 5'2.5", 115 pounds, really wanna get down to an American size 4, 8 stone, UK size 8, that's my target. We're all in the same boat but have yet to receive any decent advice!!
