my last three dreams have freaked me out. any thoughts....

Quote  |  Reply

Friday night....i fall from a gym that had no railings and was about 3 stories up. i crush both of my legs and i am lying on the floor, bleeding to death, by myself. i try to whistle because i can't scream for help but my breath will not even allow my whistler to work.

Saturday night...i fall down a cliff and my right foot actually rips off. i wrap it up and tell them to get my foot so they can sew it back on at the hospital. i was more worried about them getting my foot with me to the hospital than the pain and blood i am suffering.

Sunday night...i am staring down a barrel of a gun and about to get shot when i woke up freaked out again.

i never remember my dreams so these have me a bit freaked. and if these are my normal dreams, i am glad i don't remember them!!!

I think dreams are just dreams. No hidden meanings. Everyone has different dreams...

thanks Ali! they usually don't bother me. it was just 3 in a row that had me a bit freaked.

I believe strong dreams like that do have meaning, I had a few a few weeks ago and the meaning had cause.....

Did you watch a scary movie before you went to sleep or something?

no nothing like that.

i did have sugar before bed on friday which i never do so thought that was it so was very good and didn't eat after 7pm on sat or sunday

But one time (This is extreme) .  Out of nowhere in 2005 I had a dream that I was in a car and there was this sudden explosion I couldnt tell exactly where but it was a city in Israel (There was a sign in Hebrew) *Boom* I woke up.  Guess what? Right when I woke up My grandparents and Parents were watching the news and they reported a terrorist attack, Explosion IN A CAR, IN ISRAEL.
I also had a dream that an uncle was killed in a car accident and then a month later it actually happened. That doesn't mean dreams predict things.
Dreams do not predict anything.  They are simply brain poo.

If you can prove your dreams predict the future (or any other psychic power), you can win US$1million from the James Randi Educational Foundation.

:-)

sportstergirl, are you taking any new medication before bedtime?  That can play major havoc on dreams!

i think dreams definitely have some meaning, but not in a predict the future kind of way. i think it's more a way to see what kind of stuff is floating around in your subconscious.

you should google "dream dictionary" and see if any of the stuff in your dreams relates to anything going on in your life!

no, nothing like that.

the only thing different is that on friday i went to the dr and she said i should take merilax to help me, well you know, and i started that friday, sat and sunday. and, so far it is not helping me.

Ah!  The infamous 'clogged dreams'......interesting.  Usually they include a plumber, not falling off a cliff.  HmmmLaughing

Give the Myralax a day or two more, should do the job.  As far as your dreams; got me on that one.  Sorry.

Is that a laxative?  I've noticed more vivid dreams too after taking laxatives.

The dreams you remember are the ones that you get awoken during.  You actually dream all night long, it's just that you don't typically remember them because your sleep doesn't get disrupted.  Dreams are like your brain's virtual battle ground - they prepare you for things.  Although, sometimes they can just be brain poo too xD.

You don't dream all night long.  REM sleep is when instense dreams happen.  Some dreaming can happen in the other stages of sleep, but not too often.  It's also possible to not dream at all, ever.
If you want really freaky vivid dreams go to bed with a nicatine patch on. LOL. I had crazy dreams wearing those things. It actually cautions on the box you dreams might be effected.
You don't dream all night long

You have about 5 dreams a night. You just don't remember them all.

2 dreams I have all the time - I'm naked in public, and the my-teeth-are-falling/have-fallen-out dream.

They are both so scary!

get a dream catcher.

I KNOW they can't predict the future, What I was saying is that they do hold a sense of later significance.  Most dreams, I don't know at least in Judaism.  But that doesn't apply to the whole world.
Dreams help reinforce what you learn during the day and can help train the body how to react during extreme sittuations. So your mind is probably just creating sittuations to help teach you to better perform when you need it.
