Late night binging....what I'm suffering from. I can't fall asleep until midnight or so (menopause) I try not to eat until after 8:00 but when 10:00 rolls around I find myself famished! As if I hadn't eaten anything all day! Meanwhile, everyone in the house is asleep so here I am like a burglar in the night, sneaking around in the kitchen, quietly trying to find myself something to eat. This is day three of walking at least 1 hour, but I woke up this morning feeling defeated. I've got to push through this and be victorious!

If you are using your cut-off time as 8:00 am - may I suggest a few ounces of protein?

Also, as of late, when I feel really hungry, I eat a few grapes very slowly and I am satisfied.  (some people like eating them frozen).

Protein, huh. Would peanut butter be considered a good source of protein?

Check the ingredients - too much sugar would be no good.  I would only have the required serving and eat it very slowly.

Thanks for the imput Norma Jean. Tonight will be another test of self-discipline. I'll keep in mind your suggestions.

Maggie, I am a diabetic and often must eat a little before sleeping. As told by a nutritionist- I keep my late night snack limited to protein such as half a turkey sandwhich. I leave off the bread now and just eat the turkey/chicken or left over piece of meat from dinner. Most of the time, just a few bites will satisfy me and hold me until morning.
