hi all!
i am finding it really hard to stay between 1200-1300 - which is what i want. i tend to eat closer to 1400-1800 a day, mostly at night. i have no idea what i weigh (at least over 200), and my main form of excerise is cleaning the bathroom.
prior to joining this community (which has been so wonderfully supportive), i was probably eating twice the calories, if not more. i used to eat frozen dinners 4-5 times a week, chocolate every day and tons of dairy (milk and cheese).
do you think that a few weeks at 1400-1800, then slowly going down might help get me to a level where i want to be? i can go most of the day without eating much - i always eat breakfast, lunch is often grazing on veggies and dinner is much of the same. my problem lies in late-night munching...i feel like if i don't eat something before bed, i might wake up hungry. (crazy i know) i do feel like i am doing something good by at least picking better food choices, and that the calories can come down a bit more as i train myself to eat better.
does this make sense? any ideas are welcomed... :)

I've had disordered eating for a while.. One day I'd binge and eat like 3000 calories [no lie.. I'd scarf like 3 double cheeseburgers like they were nothing] and the next I'd be at 300 for the day. I regulated it by reducing my intake, so I agree with you - Start out at 1400-1600, and then slowly cut some cals. Water is very filling, as are hot liquids. Tea has like 4 cal/cup, and coffee is nothing I believe. The caffeine will also boost your metabolism.
I would try to make your lunch and dinner more substantial that way you might not be so hungry at night.
