Late Night Snacking to get calories??
Does anyone do this? Realize at like 8-9 that you don't have enough calories for the day so you go and have a snack to bring you numbers up?
Example, I look at my calories and realize I only have 800-900 calories so I go eat something that has 200-300 calories to bring me up to a 1200 minimum?
Is this harming my journey by doing so? Or is it better in the long run to have the right calories so I don't go into "starvation" mode???
Do you think a night here or there to be low (not on purpose) is ok? or should I eat up??
Im a strong believer in it doesnt matter what time of day you get calories as long as it doesnt interfere with when you exercise. Occasional low days should be fine but a handful of nuts or some cheese can also take care of it too.

Ok so as long as I'm getting my exercise in daily (like I do,) than it shouldn't matter if I eat at 7pm or 9pm?
I just don't want to mess things up by eating to get to the daily min calories.
Sometimes (due to my late exercising) I don't get my last meal in until 1 or 2 hours before I go to bed. It never hurt my weight loss.
That's what I wanted to hear! Yay!
Nope, I refuse to give up on my weight loss journey, and I am tracking EVERYTHING I put in my mouth, I will only eat just enough calories *usually a bowl of grapenuts with ff milk" to get me to the 1200 mark so I don't fall below it.
Now on nights that I've already reached the minimum goal or my goal (1700) I don't have a snack, I am only doing it so I don't fall below the "safe" zone..
Thanks so much peaches!

Awesome! You know I've noticed that too, when I eat more I'm using less calories (because of what I'm eating!!)
Congrats to you!! You're doing so great!!
Got your reply! Thanks
I find myself without enough calories somedays and have a snack. So far it hasn't seemed to hurt me too much. I have lost 22 lbs. in 3 and a half months. (pat on the back).
