hi guys
i want to open a new post here to monitor and motivate myself over my weight loss journey
i'm 5'4" , 17, and a high school senior!
i started to lose weight in Feburary. My highest was 148 lb and I'm now down to 140 lb =)
My goal is to lose 10 pounds from today to PROM DAY !!!
may 23 is THE BIG DAY for me =)
i want to do it in a healthy and realistic way...I hope i can do it =P

hello, im 17 and 5"5 so we have some things in common!! ive started a thread for people that want to lose 10lbs by june 14th, so feel free to come and join if you want even though your goal is a little sooner :) i plan to weigh on saturday mornings so if you want to join in we might be able to motivate one another or share tips.

i weighed myself today--140 lb still!
i ate a lot yesterday, and only walked the stairs for 1 hour, so i guessthat's why it's not going down.
today i will go out with friends to celebrate college admissions yay! i need to eat healthy!
i don't know if anyone else feels that way, but sometimes i feel rather inconfident in ordering light food, such as salads, i mean cuz im chubby and all, what if people say--HA are you ordering salad to lose weight?
also im going on a college visit tomorrow! they are gonna have a pizza party/food party for sure, and how can i feel comfortable in declining the food that i'm offered?

Order that salad anyway! Salads at restuarants are pretty big, and hopefully people will be supportive. And consider the calories you're saving when you do that!
And at the pizza party- don't deprive yourself, just eat really slow. Take a slice and see how many times you can chew each bite. It'll last longer, giving your body time to realize that it's full. If you cut out pizza forever you're more bound to give in!
