i've actually been averaging more like 3 or 4 lbs a week.
absolutely!  you just have to keep your calorie intake 500 calories below your expenditure.  one pound of fat = 3500 calories.

most definatley healthy!! when you so lose 1-2 lbs \wk you have better odds of keeping it off.

But how do you make sure you're not losing it off the essential parts such as the breasts. I'm 5'5, 128lbs and wanna go back to 115 and 34B.  How quickly should I do it?
I like that, the "essential parts!"  I think it's all about genetics really, you can't spot reduce, not really anyway.
How much you can safely and slowly lose is dependent on what you weigh.  For smaller people - it might be harder to lose a pound each and every week - for larger people 2 or more is possible.

A good guideline is this:  never attempt to lose more than 1% of your total body weight per week.
I'm losing an average of 2lbs a week on a 1200 -1300 calorie diet 5 days a week,  1800 calories is what I average on Saturdays and 1500 calories on Sundays.
be aware that you can also lose muscle mass, you've got to feed your muscles too ya know?


muscle weighs more than fat, but it's not healthy to lose muscle. eating 500 calories a day is a bit stupid, you should'nt be worried about losing 1lb per week, you should be worried about your over-all health.

one pound a week is probababy the safest way to actually lose a considerable amount of weight.

im sure losing 1 pound a month is even healthier, but it would take me 68.7 years to hit my goal.

one pound a week sounds good to me!!!
If i do alot of workout. I can lose from 2 to 3 pounds a  week. I am more for the slow weight loss.. Reason why is.. I don't want it to come back faster. But one pound a week and more is possible..
