I am in the same boat!  Just turned 34.  5'5".  155.  I am about 10 lbs.  heavier than I was last year and it seems like I am always fighthing to lose, but steadily creeping up!  I have been in a cycle where every couple of years I gather up some serious will power, almost reach my goal, then slowly creep back up.  Its getting harder and harder, no doubt because of age.  I have to lose once and for all!

well ladies lets do this. Last night was a little discouraging for me . I went out with my boyfriend to a concert we have been waitng to see for months and I tell you......none of my pretty dresses fit anymore .I know rationally its only a 15lb difference but it still sucks to have all these nice clothes and none of them fit. any way just thought id vent to you guys . today is weigh in day...and i feel huge. i weighed in at 165lbs. Ive been counting my calories and exercising but maybe im ready to step the exercise up .How are you guys doing?

Oh oh!!!  I'm 161.5 today and trying to hit 145 before xmas!  LETS GET IT DONE!

I didn't weigh today.  I'll post tomorrow.

I'm going to a SF Giants game tonight.... probably won't be good for the weigh in tomorrow.....  I see salt and alcohol in my near future!

middlman, thank you!i have been struggling ti figure out the burn meter for days.

i'm 5'2, 144 (gained 50 pounds during pregnancy), after the initial 25 pound loss, i managed to lose 11pounds since mid july. then all of a sudden, it stopped. i excercise intensly burning 800 calories 5 days a week and a personal trainer i asked told me i wasnt eating enough calories. one question, the calories displayed on the calorie meter, is that to lose or maintain? mine says 2200. seems like alot.

oops, I didnt weigh in today. Do we just post our stats again and again in this thread? im new to this sort of thread idea. I posted my original stats on the first page, so now do i update here in this thread every tuesday?

Weigh ins?  I weighed 134 this morning, after 3 weeks of nothing. BUT I also did a one day juice fast yesterday to jump start this thing.  The next two days I'm doing a veg/fruit only cleansing fast.  This is for cleansing but also the couple pound water loss helps me to get motivated ;)

Ok, today I am at 156.4, post game.  I didn't do too bad with my calories.

161.0 today.

I started July 1st at 185lbs.  1 more pound and I'm down 25.  Hoping to hit 145 by New Years!

I'm going to they gym after work and will do my weigh in before my workout.  Does anyone know if working out has anything to do with your weight on a scale?  Because I know if I weigh myself and I stayed the same (or god forbid gained weight) I have no motivation to work out.  Would it make a difference if I weighed myself after the workout?

I was 138.2 at my last official weigh in on Sunday.  I hope to see a drop!!

How is everyone doing otherwise?  Any questions about this amazing site?  I've become obsessed with it since I found it, so I think i got most of the ins and outs figured out now.

Except, does anyone know where I can add my "about me" stuff?  I see others with it on their pages and I looked everywhere and can't figure it out.

a couple years ago when i lost 25 pounds (before baby #2) i would be able to tell a difference after a workout on the scale. maybe all that sweating? :)

137.6 before the workout (bouncing between that and 137.4) and a steady 137.4 after the workout..so i'm entering the 137.4 :-p

So far I've lost about 5 lbs...and my stomach is noticably flatter, i just hope my legs hurry up and start losing some of that fat.

How is everyone today?

that's awesome mdillman3! i've lost a pound, but I think it's mainly water weight as i'm doing a cleansing fast for a few days...but i do feel my stomach getting flatter as well. i did a yoga dvd last night for the first time and wow, that was harder than it looks :)  i think i'm gonna do yoga the days i can't get to the gym (hubby works 12 hr days three times a week)  i'm thinking my metabolism doesn't want to move...i'm hoping a cleanse will reset it! maybe nonsense, but any movement on the scale is motivating :)

This cleansing sounds interesting, how are you doing it?  How long is it?  Maybe I need one of those...

You're probably really losing, especially if you have had a deficit between calories burned and calories eaten.  Congratulations!

a lot of people are not into it, say it's unhealthy, etc....while i agree it's not good for anything long-term, i believe that a 1-3 day fast can give the digestive system a break and is good for your health.  i just have nothing but diluted fruist juices for one day and water...make sure it's 100% juice and no added sugar...i've heard you shouldn't do OJ. you can google it for more info. then for the next two days, i have nothing but fruits and vegetables. to make it easier, i make a big pot of tomato juice, diced tomatoes, and fresh or frozen veggies.  i eat it whenever i'm hungry and as much of it as i want, with lots of water. it is difficult but not impossible.  i'm on my last day of the soup...but if you drink caffeine (sodas or coffee) be prepared for a headache.  i still allow myself to have one cup of coffee in the a.m. to ward off a headache.

How did the cleansing go morlan?

How is everyone doing?  Excited it's friday? (I am!!)  Any fun plans for the weekend?  I'm going to relax and read/watch movies.  I also have a lot of cleaning to do.

What is this Fluidity Ballet Bar? I've never heard of it.

There have been a few infomercials about it, it is an adjustable hip height ballet bar that has a sturdy frame and a mat is attached at the bottom.  It's pretty cool, I was just wondering if anyone had great results using it. Check out the site and let me know what you think.
