hi, i'm sugessted to lose 29 lbs and eat 1200 cals a day...how long should this take me? i need a partner thats willing to motivate eachother..can anybody relate?
im guessing it should take you about 3 months to lose the weight. thats if you exercise 5 days a week and watch the calorie intake, myself i'm 5'5 and 150 i want to lose weight to get my BMI to 23 which means i need to weigh around 130. maybe we can help each other since the goals are similar?
hi!..I'd like to join your quest!..I also have the same problem at the moment... I'm 5' and normally weighs 95 lbs but since I went to Japan last year, I've gained my weight. Now I'm 105 lbs and I really really hate it!.. I always love to wear fitted jeans & shirts but now I can't almost wear my old ones coz it's too tight for me and my stomach is bulging!..urgh!... I've decided to loose weight now because summer is soon to come!... If I don't loose this excess pounds I have quickly, I can't wear my old fitted clothes and I'm going to hate myself everytime I looked at the mirror... (cruel but that's true!)...
Anyway, I started to diet last week and it seems working on me... I started to check all the calories of the food I ate and I'm trying to eat less than 500 kcal of average calorie intake per day... Example, my target weight goal is 95 lbs and my average calorie take for day is 1400 kcal.. I see to it that I ate only less than a thousand kcal per day (since I'm not an active person and I'm sitting all day when working)... I bring to my office everyday a chopped apple(87kcal) and only when I feel really hungry and my tongue is looking for something to taste, I'll treat myself for that... I also tried sliced carrots and it tastes good too with a very less calorie (52kcal)... when I got home and feels very hungry, I'm trying to make myself busy reading topic about diet while eating carrots or apple to fill my hunger... after few hours, my starving slows down and then have a very light meal with salad or low fat milk... I also plays aerobic dance music to my audio loudy and when I hear it, my pulse gets faster and I started to move... if not dancing or exercising, I'm cleaning my room or just do something to burn my calorie... it must be a cruel way of loosing weight and I'm not sure if my way is correct but I've already lost about 5 lbs since I started...Please try it too and tell my what happens!... hi she16japan, you sound like youre good for your height! seriously...i know you are 10 lbs heavier than before but remember to incorporate your age into all this. how old are you honey? Do not eat less than 1200 calories per day because if you do, youre body is just storing fat. I agree, snacking on fruits and veges is a good idea! thank you for your suggestion, i appreciate it! Although this doesnt sound like it will work for me?
Hey jaybee19, ok, lets keep eachother on track. so far today i just started p90x for my daily activity to burn calories...See how that goes! Im also counting my calories..my allowance: 1200...my stomach is getting used to the amount though..because before i felt like i wasnt satisfied. Its only been about 2 weeks that ive been counting my calories and my stomach has shrunken and feels satisfied now with 1200 cals. So, tell me, what is your strategy?

well i'm going to eat veggies/fuits and grains only chicken and salmon, no dairy and i'm limiting my diet to 1000 calories per day also going to exercise for 60 minutes 6 days a week, it will be tough but i seriously want to weight off by august.
Hey, I am also in your group. I am 5'1 and weigh around 130-135, I am trying to get back to the 120-125 range. Just back to my normal size 4-6. I am trying to eat around 1400 calories a day and excerise every day. I also have a physical fitness test i need to get in shape for coming up, so this was a two birds with one stone , kind of thing.
hey! im in a similar position - 5'2'' currently at 128lb but i'm going to Puerto Rico in November and would love love love to be under 120 by then. i think that's a realistic goal, what do you guys think? i know those last few you have to lose are the hardest sometimes ...
I think you could do it. Although i wouldnt drop below the infamous 120 range, at our height. To skinny stick, to fat...round ball. If you want to email back and forth to help encourage , let me know.
