Hello all,

I have been looking through the forums and all the cool 'loose by this date' posts are closed so I wanted to start a new one. According to the site this is a healthy goal if starting throughout the month of September. So your first post should be your current height, weight, bmi and goal weight.

Check in to post sucess, frustration and whatever else you need to talk about to keep you on track.

Meltydawne: I like the idea of having a weekly challenge.  I am trying to set some simple goal (one I know I can reach) every week to help me stay motivated.  Mine for this week is to burn 1750 calories over my base calorie usage.  I've just started exercising again so I'm taking it slow but this will help motivate me to get moving

I know I missed the weigh-in last week, but just to let you know, I'm down 5lbs to 133!!  happy days!!

Maybe we should discuss how we are doing it so others can get ideas from us. 

I eat 1400 calories, try to exercise for 1 hour = 500 calories.... started this routine since the 24th.... so far so good!
I forgot to weigh in! I'm down to 169 now though. I've lost 21 pounds total so far-yay!!

The weird thing is though that I haven't really lost any inches and I don't feel all that different. I would have thought with 20-ish pounds gone I'd be in a different clothing size or lost some inches. Oh well...as long as the scale keeps going down I'll start seeing results at some point I guess!

I've been doing intervals on the elliptical machine for 36-40 minutes (5 or 6 days a week burning on average 400 calories)

Strength training 3 times a week

Pilates 2 or 3 times a week

I've been eating about 1600-1800 calories per day lately (increased my amount recently from about 1200-1400 and I lost more weight)

SW 190, CW 169, GW 145 by 1/1/08 (FGW of 128) 
Hey guys...I'm down 2 lbs since last weigh in.  The frustrating thing is I went down 2 lbs overnight when weighing in last week and now am STUCK at 137 for a week without budging a bit.  :(  I got so use to my .5 lb a day loss that I am really freaking out that I haven't lost anything in 7 days.  :(

I know that I said 19 pounds by the new year (189 to 170), I'm secretly crossing my fingers for more. I'll just be happy at 170 by new years. Down 4 so far....yay. Working hard and keeping those fingers crossed.

Ok, so somehow I thought we were weighing in (or at least posting) every other week?  But i weighed in yesterday and am at 167 which means I lost another lb!

I'm 5'2'', currently about 143 pounds, I want to be around 110-115 by January!  We can do this...woohoo!

Hello everyone! It looks like we have quite a few successes and even more people joining everyday!  Just a reminder (if I read Bigloser's post correctly)....our next weigh in day is October 1.  That means we all need to be focused this weekend and hopefully everyone will report a loss towards the 1/1/08 goal date!

sreeves8 - I like you're idea of having different calorie levels for work out days.  I've been exhausted the last couple of days, so I think I need to up my calories.  I'll start by upping my calories on work out days and keeping them lower on non-work out days. 

New plan:

Daily Calories:  1400

Workout Day Calories:  1700
