30 lbs by January 1st, 2008---***CLOSED***
I have been looking through the forums and all the cool 'loose by this date' posts are closed so I wanted to start a new one. According to the site this is a healthy goal if starting throughout the month of September. So your first post should be your current height, weight, bmi and goal weight.
Check in to post sucess, frustration and whatever else you need to talk about to keep you on track.

Today's weight is 187.2!! YEAH!!!! It's finally working!!!
BMI is 34.2
I like having to report in every week. It helps keep me focused on the end goal.

I only lost 1 pound this week, so now I am down to 148 :(

Okay, I want to join the quest to lose 30 by 1 Jan 08! I only have 20lbs to go to reach my goal but if I can bring the new year in at goal weight that would be awesome!

October 1 weigh in..........172 from 176.5 on the 19th! Yeah! Finally seeing some results.
Goal of 170 by my birthday 10/17.
It was my understanding that the weigh-ins are every 1st and 3rd Wednesday-- meaning the next one isn't until Wednesday (the 3rd) and then again on Wednesday the 17th?
Regardless, congratulations to those who have lost weight! I'm going to weigh-in on Wed.

Ahh, the fabled weigh in day! But, I'm down another lb (this rate will not get me my goal but I will be within 10!) putting me at 166! WAY TO GO ME!

Do you all this this is possible??? I've been trying really hard. It's sad because in my junior year of college, which was only roughly 2 yrs ago, I weighed 115. Of course then, I was struggling with bulimerexia. (just like it sounds. I would barely eat anything (300 cals MAYBE a day) and then purge whatever I did eat (apples, yogurt, etc)). It was bad, and I was very sick.
I'm trying to do this the "healthiest" way possible!

fatanr1--Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! How exciting! I think your goal weight sounds reasonable. I'd probably shoot for 130 by that date.

I'm 25, 177lbs and would like to be 140 by January 1st. Congrads on your decision to getting healthy! I don't know about you, but I've always been on a rollercoaster diet, but like you I'm really focusing on getting healthy.
Are you doing any type of eating plan or regiment? I've started the NurtiSystem, because I am in college as well, and this plan really helps me eat healthy without the hustle of making time to cook. I'm also working about six times a week 30 minutes minimum, 2hour max.
I'm interesed to hear how your doing it!

I forgot to post yesterday.
I'm down another 2 pounds to 271.5. Not as much as I would have liked but considering I've not been eating or exercising like I should be I'll take the 2.
