I have been looking through the forums and all the cool 'loose by this date' posts are closed so I wanted to start a new one. According to the site this is a healthy goal if starting throughout the month of September. So your first post should be your current height, weight, bmi and goal weight.
Check in to post sucess, frustration and whatever else you need to talk about to keep you on track.

im 5'8" ,17 years old, mommy of a 4 month old baby. i used to weight 135 before the baby but now i weight 167 :( sad..... i want to lose atleast until i weight 140. but my close goal is 150 by dec. my problem is i get bored of deiting and fail to stay on a diet for to long.... i need help staying on it so anyone that want help me out by soporting me with friendship and post to help me stay on top :)
Oh I keep losing track of all these weigh ins. Anyway, never mind, as of this morning I'm down 5lbs to 189 - go me!

GW(by January 1)= 164(finally in my healthy weight range!)
Tonight, I went out and for the first time in ages and felt really good in my own skin. I'm amazed by what a little bit of exercise and healthy choices can do for your body and self esteem. There's really not a better feeling out there.

Here I am. Late on the posting again. Sorry about that. Things at work have finally slowed down so I actually have some time to breathe again. Whew!
It looks like everyone is LOOSING I love it. Keep up the great work. There are stalls being broken and some new joins. I am so happy that the thread is active. I am sure that we can keep this way despite the fact that I have to close it. At this point the goal of a 30lb loss by January is not a healthy one if you haven't already started. We have to think of our health first. THat is the whole point, right?
I am down to 149. 3lbs loss so far and I am ecstatic. As long as the scale keeps goin down I am happy. I haven't seen the 140s in months and this thread is such a pivotal point for my sucess. Thanks guys and lets keep it going!!

It seems that since I bumped up to 1700 cal a day I am losing a bit faster. Also, I feel great, so definitely I'm at the right calorie level! I've stared doing some light weight training at the gym, so I'm also trying to work a little more protein into my days.
There's a lot of success on this thread. Let's keep it up everyone!!

Oh a spreadsheet would be a great idea! I think it would bring a sense of collaboration and belonging to this group.
About the weigh-in?? I think bi-weekly is confusing. I'm not sure what day I'm supposed to "officially" weigh-in, as there seem to be several.

I know what u mean themachine. I try to keep updated but am so confused about when the "official" weigh in days are. I know fatnr11 said it's today but I thought the official one was every other Wen. LOL Just watching and waiting for everyone else to start to post them. LOL
That is totally my bad. I must have mis-understood the posts....
Apparently the weigh in's are the 1st and 3rd Wednesday's of each month. Twice a month? No offense to anyone- but I don't think I like that... I think once a week at least....
So, according to bigloser32, the weigh in should take place on the 3rd Wed. of this month- would be Oct. 17....
Hmm... Does anyone else agree we should do weekly? And maybe on a Tuesday?
I like the wednesday weigh in, personally. And I don't see there being a problem if someone wanted to weigh in every week. Especially if they had a reason to brag :)
The spreadsheet is a great idea!
Anyway, I'm only down a lb in the last two weeks...better than nothin at all right? Anyway, I'm happy with it...only 10 weeks to go, so I'm not going to make my goal, but as long as I'm still going down I will be a happy camper!
